  1. Uhhhh... Santana hit .308 since he was sent down to da Roch. I have no idea where you got .267 from. And Robinson is actually a good defender in CF, unlike Santana.
  2. He probably sprained it whiffing his way to a Golden Sombrero. Ba-Dum-Tish!
  3. May is our best chance to have a young, solid #2 starter. Move Pelfrey to the pen. He's been incredibly lucky this year stranding runners- He's going to turn into back into a pumpkin at some point. Moving him into the bullpen will hide the fact that he doesn't have a second pitch.
  4. I'd rather see Pelfrey go to the bullpen than Milone. Pelfrey is starting to turn back into a pumpkin and I could see him actually successful in the bullpen- His big fastball and splitter combo would play up- and mask the fact that he doesn't have a breaking ball. Buxton is clearly over matched. I'd like to see him go to AAA after Hicks is recalled. Odds are he'll get sent back to AA instead.
  5. I doubt they will. They'll give him another shot.
  6. If he's cheap. He's been awful this year though. And we need a good defensive SS with the lack of K's from our pitching staff.
  7. How does one deactivate flash? I'm not particularly computer savvy. I'm using Chrome right now. All I want is the %(*&% video ads to stop playing. And it's not just this site, that seems to be the trend over the past year, internet add sites have turned to autoplay video ads that suck up so much of the computer's memory.
  8. I was just going to comment about those ads that reset the page once they load so you have to look at them! WTF? Can we just dump the video ads, period? They just slow everything thing down while waiting for them to load. And my computer at work is brand new! What ever happened to non-animating ads?
  9. Just goes to show... don't pass on the Golden Spikes winners!
  10. Benintendi won the Golden Spikes Award this year. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Golden_Spikes_Award Just look at the previous winners going back to 2001. How would you like that kind of certainty in your first round draft pick?
  11. I'm 25 and I think he looks like a kid.
  12. I think passing on both Benintendi and Fulmer are going to be mistakes. And I feel the same way about drafting a reliever and hoping he can start in the 1st round.
  13. Question for the minor league folks- I just checked E-Town's roster and it looks like Kuo Hua Lo is repeating the Appy League for the 3rd year in a row. What gives? It'd be nice if the Twins pushed players through the rookie leagues more aggressively.
  14. Because Pope Terry Ryan is infallible when he sits on the throne of St. Pohland, right? Unfortunately, that's not how it works. Just look at the recent history of the Twins, or look when their core in 2002 came up. Many of them took a few years of going back and forth to establish themselves. I have no idea what that last bit means.
  15. Here's where I disagree: Pitchers only have so many bullets in their arm- especially arms that have so much of their value tied up in velocity. He's demonstrated that he can be a successful reliever in AAA and he'll need to learn to get out major league hitters eventually. So why waste those bullets in meaningless AAA games, when instead he can be cutting his teeth in the majors while providing some value for those bullets he's firing? He probably should get one more shot at being a starter. The Twins don't have anybody that can miss bats like him in the org, plus they have a lot of value tied up in trading Span away for him. They need to show that they got some value out of not having a above replacement level CF'er the last 3 years. But there is no reason he can't pitch out of the pen up at the majors for the rest of the year and then go back to starting in spring training next year?
  16. To your first point Nick, I say TINSTAAPP. Kepler is less than a year away and doesn't have as high of a risk of having a career altering injury. But I completely agree with the other points.
  17. It's apparently not to Terry Ryan.
  18. I stand corrected! Thanks.
  19. Forty-man castoffs are the way to go, Dontcha know? The grass is always greener on another team's roster, Because our triple-A relievers have poor posture. Walks are the devil, Strikeouts are only a bonus. Hits are on the level, So long as homeruns don't own us. Don't trade control for K's, not even a tad, Let me be clear, walks are bad. All you internet nerds know what I'm about, For Battling-Your-Tail-Off is more important that an out. But I swear I'm a hip, modern guy, For my AOL account does not lie, That there is no denyin', That I'm Terry Ryan.
  20. Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't Rogers a reliever when he played at Kentucky?
  21. One walk!? Inconceivable! No walks or no majors!
  22. Oooooh. Nice comp. I never thought about that. I went and looked at Jacques' stats from back in the day- those two will seem to have similar K/BB ratios, similar BA. However, Jones probably had more power and I think Rosario is likely to steal bases at a better rate when all is said and done.
  23. Any good coach would.
