    How on earth did that happen? A ball that's never more than a few inches off the ground should never go over the wall. Also the umps should have used discretion and let Larnach score. He was at 3B when the ball went over.

    Of all the people to make a great point I would have never thought Scott Boras. But he says the goal from MLB is to push arbitration and free agency back several years and he is dead on.

    Baseball America reports that in the latest proposal from MLB that high schoolers would no longer be eligible to be drafted. Owners really want a lockout. If no high schoolers can be drafted then do they all become FA if they don't want to go to college after a certain number of years? Are they ineligible to play at all? This is one of the stupidest ideas ever. EDIT: Just read this https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2026/06/mlb-proposes-significant-changes-to-amateur-draft.html and it mentions that anyone under the age of 20 before September 1st of the draft year would be inelligible. So also would keep some junior college and college players from being drafted. That is even worse.

    A little late as I was busy but Perkins calling out the plate ump on his delayed strike calls is spot on. Lewis was denied a challenge because he thought it was a ball and by the time the ump called it a strike too much time has passed. And Perk also mentioned the ump has done this all year. I think I was at a game he was behind the plate.

    The Royals are down 9-0 before they even bat. Yordan hit a 2 run HR first time up and then a grand slam second time up.
