MLB wins! Class action suit against MLB re minor league wages cannot go forth as class action ... players must file individually. Unfortunate as players are already behind financially and now must pay the cost to file. Opinions I have read players should be given minimum wage and changes should be made. It would not be that expensive to continue to provide American communities with their favourite pastime.

Would like to see Harrison given an opportunity at AAA or MLB ...might surprise you ..look at Kepler.

Glad to see Kepler doing well up in MLB.

Seems to be improving. Hitting more consistently. Hopefully he continues.

Consensus is not given an opportunity at AAA. Had to be able to play the game to show well! Not a bat or a pinch run intermittently!

Most time spent on the pine...no injury. if given a few games in a row would be more consistent. Needs playing time. Goes one week between games. Also has 14 hits 3 HR and 2 doubles. Has 21 strikeouts!

Not sure but Red Wings just signed another outfielder assigned to AAA from the Independent league. The same thing going on at the major league is occurring in AAA. The team is 2 wins 4 losses against Indianapolis. Quick fixes... They move 2 prospects up due to injuries and then take on another outfielder who will need to get play when people return. As it is Wickens came off the bench yesterday after almost 2 weeks and like most of the team went 0 for 3. Brought up thru the Twins organization he has always been very consistent and this year started hitting homeruns 3 this year in first 50 at bats...but then he started to sit. He had a good spring training which gave him opportunity to move to AAA. As posted above Wickens has played almost all positions in previous years but this year warms the bench when other "filler veteran players" and prospects continue to swing the bat. Goulik ( senior poster) called this "opportunity" in a previous post. Keep bringing in more veteran players and do not let your home grown Twins player attempt to excel.

The error was made ...Polanco would never had made first... he had a walk only at that point. That's why prospects falter at MLB as they are used to being given everything not earning it.

How does an error and hit occur on a Polanco ? hit in the 5th inning?

Again Minnesota hangs on to players until they are literally worthless in a trade blocking the system with players that have been given opportunity and more opportunity, Let them warm their butts on the bench. Give others a chance equally until someone starts to perform and then fly with them.

Definitely agree... charge all players with errors not just the non prospects. Prospects make error after error and do not get tagged with the error. Completely ignored lets call it a learning curve. I have seen this over and over.

Previous post Why do they start teaching positional play in MLB???? Why does Minnesota Twins prospects have difficulty performing at MLB level? Sale, Trout, Harper and Bryant seemed to have no difficulty stepping up. Does Minnesota take on too many players with the same attributes-power?

Why do prospects continually get opportunity year after year and never have to sit. We are told when they make errors they are growing pains. Non prospects make one mistake and are out of the game. Concern re Keppler having only 14 at bats while up in the majors... others sit waiting for an opportunity weeks on end. All these players have given multiple years to be given an opportunity, and I do not see many prospects excelling. Maybe it's about time they warm the benches...it might increase productivity.

Finally Twins win ...Braves win...all MLB teams have finally won a game. Meyer pitches well for AAA. Nice to see Nunez get in and help motivate the team with 3 for 3 and a hit by pitch.Positives at last. A lot of negativity from bloggers. Over the years people could not wait for the arrival of the youth Sano, Rosario, Buxton and a multitude of pitchers. Now they are there and they are not hitting. The bats are not working. They are losing self confidence as they are playing positions they have not been groomed for. I blame the organization. These prospects had to move up each year through the organization based on there offence seldom on their defense. They never became skilled at a particular position. There are many players who are now in AAA and MLB who do not play a position well but there bat is needed. The Twins already have a problem with players who can only play DH or first and they are still learning new positions. Many of these players are running out of options. Are they going to do the same thing to the next generation of players who are doing well in Fort Myers and Cedar Rapid???
