  1. I'd like to see Buck hit about 20 of those every year.
  2. What kind of man wears turquoise shoes!? I suppose one who is secure in his masculinity. He'd have to be.
  3. The turquoise and rust don't do much for me. Maybe they look better in person.
  4. Yeah, I'm quoting myself and I don't care. The snake head on the left sleeve is pathetically hideous.
  5. Even the hated red jerseys are not the ugliest uniforms on the field. I rate the umpires as best dressed tonight.
  6. When I was in high school I was at a picnic that had an egg toss as one of the activities. The each team consisted of a married couple. The concept, for those who are unaware, is to stand a short distance apart and toss a raw egg to your teammate. Then the person who caught the egg takes a step back and tosses the egg back. This repeats until only one team with an unbroken egg remains. Well, the moderator of this acticity didn't have good control of the process so the couples were proceeding at different rates, so he had everyone stop and said, "OK, all ladies should be holding their eggs!" This got some laughs, of course. When I told a friend of mine what the moderator said he asked, "Did he get a standing ovulation?"
  7. Won't click like but would click agree if there were such a button.
  8. And Dicknbert were wondering who would be taken out of the bullpen if Perkins is activated...
  9. Hey, he's only 90. It not nice to diss a senior citizen.
  10. My assessment of Sano's defensive ability has just improved.
  11. Not as ridiculous as last inning but still ridiculous.
  12. Rosario and Buxton combine for a run. The new wave has arrived.
  13. For the sake of completeness and tradition: 1. Francisco Lindor (S) SS 2. Jason Kipnis (L) 2B 3. Jose Ramirez (S) 3B 4. Edwin Encarnacion ® DH 5. Jay Bruce (L) RF 6. Carlos Santana (S) 1B 7. Austin Jackson ® LF 8. Bradley Zimmer (L) CF 9. Yan Gomes ® C 1. Brian Dozier ® 2B 2. Max Kepler (L) RF 3. Joe Mauer (L) 1B 4. Miguel Sano ® 3B 5. Eddie Rosario (L) LF 6. Robbie Grossman (S) DH 7. Byron Buxton ® CF 8. Jorge Polanco (S) SS 9. Jason Castro (L) C
  14. We had a yellow cat who caught a rabbit once and brought it home. You can't...oops...cannot say he ain't...oops...ai not nothin'...oops...nothing but a hound dog.
  15. A glass of red milk? As much as I have trouble following some or Torii's stuff I imagine Dick is dumbfounded trying to figure out what to say in response.
  16. Or drive in two with a line drive hit.
  17. I'm sure it'll be on the Twins web site in a few minutes.
  18. Tom Kelly once said that in baseball momentum is tomorrow's starting pitcher. By itself, a dinger in the first inning is not a big deal. Let's see what happens over the next few innings. Either way TK knows of what he speaks.
  19. Ideally he'd try to bunt it, however in this situation there were two outs so that wouldn't apply.
  20. Dick said Colon's pulse rate is 78/20. That's 3.9. Something tells me Dick may not be too well versed in medical matters.
  21. I give the credit to Rosario because he timed his move perfectly. Drake had just engaged the rubber but not gone into his stretch. Make the move any sooner and it's not a balk. Wait till Drake is in the stretch and he's more likely to maintain his composure. He caught Drake when he was not quite in control and that made the difference. Rosario was channeling Molitor. It was truly a savvy play.
  22. I'm not an ump, and I don't know the answer for sure, but I think if he throws home he wouldn't have to step off because he's delivering a pitch. Throwing to another base, yes.
