  1. Brains beaten in by the 'Stros. Oh, the ignominy.
  2. Oh, is the game still on? What are we down now, only a touchdown and a field goal? The Vikes'll get that back this quarter. Oh, wait...
  3. I can't rehash the points made here with anything new. I concur wholeheartedly with those who bemoan the way Meyer was brought up, sat, and then yanked from his only start. I was hopeful when Molly took over, and more than ready to turn the page from Gardy- although I was really hoping for Dougie Baseball in the dugout. Now I'm hoping for that even more. Molly is just infuriating me this year, after merely ticking me off last year. I think he's a terrible manager, just terrible.
  4. I didn't see the latest Rochester shuffle news til I logged on to the thread today. I have to admit to being completely perplexed they called up the guy with the worst ERA and WHIP on the AAA team-- but it just seems to fit with the way the Twinkie (and I'm quoting the great Joe Angel here) 'Brain-thrust" is going these days. Just another in an ever-longer line of completely inexplicable moves.
  5. Bet he can still fall out of bed hitting, though.
  6. This is my usual Wednesday activity.
  7. "HI, I'm back, did I miss anything?" he deadpanned. "Harrumph," replied the crowd. Oh, wow, it got worse. Who could have predicted that? Did somebody hit a moonshot off Moonlight?
  8. But, before I go-- over on the Twit the Twinkie guys are beefin' about the bandbox home runs-- but, aren't the fences the same for both teams? S'pose we could hit a couple of those dinky fly balls ourselves? Pfft. (It's not like the old days in the Dome, where we could turn off the AC in the 9th if we were behind...)
  9. Well, doody calls. Off to a wonderful reading exercise. Cheerio.
  10. Come to think of it, might be an easy job. Only have to post stuff if he gets a hit now and then. Hmmmm....
  11. Ya know, 'dese here t'reads do keep 'dese kinda games a heckuva lot more bearable.
  12. Gee, ummmm,.... thanks. I'll think about it.
  13. Out of curiosity, peeked in at the Yanks game just now- A. Hicks up, runner on 3rd, 1 out. K. Made me feel a little better, anyway.
  14. Lotta math there, but I can see it.
  15. Astros' Mendoza-line area hitters are doing a sight better than ours.
  16. He gave up twice as many runs as the kid, in less innings. Seems fair.
  17. It's always a tossup whether we're gonna get Bulldog Fien, whom I love, or just simply Dog Fien, whom I less than love.
  18. He's been hurt, and come off a rehab where he went 1-8 against low-A pitching. Maybe ease him back in a little in the 6 or 7 hole. Yesterday's game wasn't exactly back up to speed for him.
  19. Cripe, I see the Sox are DFAing Johnny Danks, too, just before they visit us. Dang it, there was maybe our only chance at a victory...
  20. We got the Nats, O's, and Sox off to a good start, too. Three first-place teams there, something to be proud of!
  21. They better make him pee in a cup after this game.
  22. Wow, just.... wow. Phil, come on, jeepers. Let's see, what was that 'stop digging' thing that keeps popping into my mind?
  23. Just signing on- are we losing yet? Has Molly destroyed the outlook and confidence of a young player yet?
  24. Accumulating Molly's twisted lineups and game-decisions could provide key insight into this conundrum.
