  1. Cripe, you don't need to drill Perez, but throw one down there, and make him move his feet once, at least.
  2. Geez, Gulfa gettin' squeezed. That plate is tiny, side to side.
  3. Well, as long as he's defiant on the bench, that's OK. Get the Eddies up the middle, and let him pinch hit for Suzuki when necessary.
  4. Looking at the pitches on gameday, Volquez has a master plan for them, too. Sano- junk, junk, junk= K. Plouffe, fast, fast, fast, junk= K. Brutal, just brutal.
  5. Yeh, that's true, but 3 guys up, and 6 pitches total, after an inning like the one they just got through-- whether he's not coaching, or they're not listening, that is a lose-lose situation.
  6. Hey, whaddya know? Gulfa came in and got the job done.
  7. The Minnesota Twins have announced their new outfield lineup for the remainder of the season:

  9. Y'know, we're down 5-1, and there are guys on base. But when even a guy named Whit Merrifield is trying to tee off, somebody needs to wear one in the ribs. Call me old school, but, "Hey, stop kicking that sand in our faces, you bully!"
  10. Hey, whaddya know? And it's even Dickovich and Bertsky!

  12. Well, I'll have to check if they unblocked my Russian game feed. I wanna see what Vlad and Arkady had to say about that last inning.
  13. So, you're DanSan, leading off after your pitcher just had a harum-scarum inning. Let's just go ahead and not see any pitches, and hit a weak-a$$ groundball right away. This kind of stuff is on you, Molly. Oops- had to edit this one! In the time it took to type those 3 sentences, inning over. How many pitches? 5, or 6? THAT'S what an inning should look like after your team scores. Now get back out there, Ervin, I don't care if you've had time to pee or not.
  14. Maybe I'll just have a meeting with myself to get away from this. Ahhh, never mind. It'll probably descend into an argument anyway.
  15. Cripe. Meeting cancelled. Now back to this- Get a run, then it's 1st and 3rd, no outs, and 3-0 count on the next guy. I turn away for a few minutes, and you kids.... Argh.
  16. Geez, took me too long to type that last thingy. The game already got lost in that time. Oh, well, off to a meeting, and now, looking forward to it.
  17. Love Love Love the "Fargo" TV series. So many H'wood types really rockin' the Dakota/ 'Sota kinda speech. But when they gaffe, it stands out- like last season, they mentioned Sleepy Eye a couple of times, but with the accent on the EYE. "We're calling in the deputies from Sleepy EYE. I think they headed in the direction of Sleepy EYE..." Made me bark back out loud at the TV to correct them in the moment.
  18. Geez-Louise. Whit Merrifield? Cheslor Cuthbert ? It's like an all-Omega lineup out there.

  20. I didn't know there were that many gibbons in Minny. Is it an exclusive club, or can anybody go?
  21. Just checking in-- how bad is it? Oh. Warmups. Well, maybe somebody'll pull a muscle or something.
  22. Sick of it. Just sick of it. So, in Burnett, we sign another over-30 guy who's been dumped by a couple of teams, but who maybe, just maybe will be able to help out. That's what you do when you need an extra arm to get you through the dog days of a pennant-race grind. That's not what you do when your season is already lost, and you've got a bunch of hot young arms to audition. Give 'em a taste, see what you've got, give the fans a glimpse of something to maybe hope for. If we're going to go out and get our brains beat in every damn day, how about we do it with players who may well be around in a year or two, not guys we're going to cut by August. I've suffered through a hell of a lot of lean years, for those few productive ones. '65, I was 5 years old, and that was my baseball intro. Late 60's-- awesome. 70s- mid80s-- one long suck-fest, especially 82, but hey, you could see good things coming. 87, 91, great, then the wilderness again. Then the Gardy years of one-round-of-playoffs, and bending over for the Yankees. Pfft. And now, this. Mr. Pohlad, and the rest of you--- you owe it to us long-suffering fans, to not be b-slapped like this again. If we're going to suck beyond belief, let's suck beyond belief with the future in the major league dugout.
  23. He seems to find a way to swing at it regardless...
  24. The comeback is on. Just in time.
