    I was in the same corner through the off season. Then, was utterly astounded at the Sano to the OF announcement. I'm not going to rehash that stuff, but I was also in the camp of 'well, if you're going to be gacking up RF anyway, why not put the vet out there, as he's been before, and leave your budding young slugger at his familiar position, and not make him try to do an extra major thing in his first full season?' I mean, if you're going to totally surrender your RF flank anyway, why the heck would you.... oh, never mind. So now we see the fruits of that 'thinking' process. And yep, as you said, Molly just sticks him out there in the 4 or 5 time and again, for no other reason than, well, he's a vet, ain't he?

    But, let's keep hitting Men-Dozier 2 or 3, and Plouffe 4, it's gotta work at SOME point! But, there's the thing- the one time out of 17 that it does work, Molly just goes, "See? I was right!"

    Well, he Plouffed that one. At least Dozier beat the shift for a change. Now, is it too much to ask for a zero from Taylor Rogers? Come on, come on.....

    I. SWEAR. TO. GOD. How can you be a major-leaguer, especially someone like Bux, with speed to burn, AND NOT KNOW HOW TO GET A BUNT DOWN. What is going on in those minor leagues, or spring training? Why in the heck are the skills just so bad all the way across the board???

    Heh-- the surprise in Dick's voice when he actually got to say "swing and a miss." He sounded almost astounded. Imagine. A Twins pitcher getting a batter to swing, and not hit the ball hard someplace.

    Whew, gave that lead back just in time. Got to go Molitor another exam. I think I'll get a big wad of gum and just chew the living hell out of it while I'm in there, and chuckle to myself.
