  1. Sorry, I missed the AL Part. Skimmed right over it. Pedro, Halladay and King Felix.
  2. JK: Pedro, Halladay and Oswalt.
  3. In the dictionary, one of the definitions of the word 'exception' is just a picture of Kate Upton :-)
  4. which is where he is being used more and more, like people have been wanting for years.
  5. I've been around the block a time or two (or twenty) and there are some women that no matter how hard I may try, my gaze keeps coming back to them if they are within sight. The list is short over my 40+ years alive, but I imagine Kate would be one of them. not just for her looks, but for the personality she projects.
  6. That would be progress :-) I won't be one of those wanting to watch the male spouses, because none are going to look like Kate Upton (more like Justin or BJ Upton) but I'm all for having equal opportunities.
  7. Can we just watch her in the stands and discard the game entirely? Because I'd be okay with that :-)
  8. If the guy can't slug, and his offensive skill set is getting on base, why drop him in the order? Shouldn't your high OBP/low slugging guys be in the one and two spot to set up the sluggers? Should we shove our speedy guys who can't get on base in the top spots instead and let the guy who makes the least amount of outs get a significant amount of PAs less than them?
  9. Now those are bold, bold statements. Here's to hoping.
  10. And now you know, the REST of the story. Great info Parker, thank you very much.
  11. Below is the quote I was responding to. I was apparently missing the point, so I guess my bad. 'Heres the funny thing.. slightly better.. Polanco made it to the MLB at 21, Dozier wasn't even drafted until he was just over 22 years old.' Anyway, my post number on this one thing is extremely disproportionate to the amount I care about it. :-)
  12. It was about the age thing when drafted part having some sort of meaning...that's it. If you feel like it didn't make sense, that's fine. Doesn't matter.
  13. With some of the quotes from Ryan, it seemed he would use the info given by Goin if it matched with his thought process and if not he discarded it (at least in player acquisition transaction). It may not have been really the case, but if it was, no point in even having an analytic department if used like that.
  14. I'm fine with trading him too. he might even be retired when it's time to compete gain. It would be the right move.
  15. makes more sense, if you read the quote I was quoting when I wrote that. Or maybe it won't :-)
  16. Oh, I thought Sale was the best pitcher in the world. That's what Hawk said :-) Just kidding. Kershaw is the best and hawk is a maroon.
  17. I've seen very few spectacular plays (mostly on him coming in on slow balls and throwing) mixed with plays described as spectacular that were fairly routine, and a ton of spectacular blunders (a ton relative to chances) along with balls missed due to range issues. And I don't see how using a guy at DH, regardless of his age, is a bad thing if one values defense. But, we'll see how it goes. Hope you're right.
  18. I think it's clear Sano is best utilized at DH and he loses value in the field because he's not a good defender anywhere. If he could play a position well, I'd agree.
