  1. Offense showing some life. Lets get a few runs back this inning!
  2. ANGELS (2-3) 1. Maicer Izturis, SS 2. Howie Kendrick, 2B 3. Albert Pujols, 1B 4. Torii Hunter, RF 5. Mark Trumbo, DH 6. Vernon Wells, LF 7. Alberto Callaspo, 3B 8. Bobby Wilson, C 9. Peter Bourjos, CF Starting pitcher: RH Dan Haren (0-1, 8.44 ERA) TWINS (1-4) 1. Denard Span, CF 2. Jamey Carroll, SS 3. Joe Mauer, C 4. Justin Morneau, DH 5. Josh Willingham, LF 6. Chris Parmelee, 1B 7. Danny Valencia, 3B 8. Ben Revere, RF 9. Alexi Casilla, 2B Starting pitcher: LH Francisco Liriano (0-1, 11.25 ERA) Let's make it two in a row!
  3. Yeah the prices are a joke. Most of the time I eat before I go to the game, or go to Town Ball Tavern. I am going to try the Buffalo Mac N Cheese when I go to my first game later this month. Some of the other stuff I don't know.
  4. This is always a tough call for a manager. If you leave your starter in and he bombs, its your fault for leaving him in too long. If you pull the starter and the bullpen blows it, then its your fault for going to the pen. It's a no win situation if you lose the game.
  5. Capps wants to prove to all the Twins fans he can close. Last night he did. Now he has to keep doing it.
  6. Feels good to get that first win under our belt. Solid outing for the Twins. It wasn't perfect, but we all know this isn't a team that going to be perfect. Pavano was good, but not great. Worst inning for him was the 5th when Bourjos got the inside-the-park home run. Willingham couldn't make the play. His defense isn't the best, and Revere might have made that catch. If Willingham continues to crush the ball, missing a catch or two doesn't matter. Huge games for Carroll and Parmelee. I saw on Twitter last night that one of Carroll's kids was so upset that his dad didn't have a hit yet he was crying! I'm sure he's proud of his dad today. Also Twitter was questioning why Parmelee was still hitting in the 7th. I thought this was a good idea from Gardy. If Parmelee is going to be our 1B of the future, he's needs this type of at-bat. Did he ever come through. Biggest hit of his career, and first ever triple. Maybe Gardy knows what he's doing after all! Bullpen was fantasic. Perkins silder was looking really nasty. He made Pujols look silly. Capps was good as well. Yes he gave up a double, but the pitch was good and the ball just died in the outfield. Plus the Angels couldn't move Hunter over to third. And if it makes anyone feel better Nathan completely blew the save last night for the Rangers. 3 runs off 4 hits. Ouch. Hopefully this is a sign of things to come. The game was back and forth and the Twins found a way to win. Biggest thing from last night is hitting was clutch. We need that to continue if we're going to win games.

  8. 98% of all beer from a can is terrible.
  9. Span CF Hughes SS Mauer C Morneau DH Willingham LF Valenca 3B Plouffe RF Parmelee 1B Casilla 2B
  10. I always liked having the players on the banners. I guess with all the rollover we'd had over the last few years they didn't want to keep making them. If they are new banners every year I don't see this issue...
  11. Probably about a 7. I hated the J.J. Hardy trade. Wait hate isn't strong enough of a word. It really pissed me off. Sometimes we don't give people enough of a chance, and sometimes we give people too many chances (Casilla, Punto). I'll be a Twins fan no matter what happens though.
  12. Becoming The Bull - Atreyu
  13. Seth trying to stir the pot...I really don't see the Twins making any moves this early. There is a good chance that Dozier will be called up sometime this year, but I don't see it happening until an injury. Hughes would take over before they made a move.
  14. I'll have to try that my first game.
  15. No one likes A-Rod. As much as I don't like Jeter, I do respect him. From what i've heard he's a good guy.
  16. The Twins are normally pretty generous when it comes to their managers. TK stayed thoughout the entire 90's cellar run. I don't see this year as make or break for Gardy. If this continues though, then who knows.
  17. Considering how great we ended spring training, this is a little bit of a suprise to start the season. Let's hope our bats find themselves again.
  18. It's like the first day of school. Excited and scared at the same time. What's going to happen? Granted it's only one game, but I remember how bad the opening game was last year and look what happened...
  19. So hard to know for sure whats going on. I hope they reveal more today. It might have just been a bad day, but I'm not optimistic. Hendricks needs to step up if we're without Baker all year.
  20. Over/under on how many games until he takes another ball to the face? I'll go with 5.
  21. You just beat me on posting this! Looking forward to the game! Hope Doumit does good in RF.
  22. I can't wait to try some of these. Buffalo Mac and Cheese...mmm...and fried pickles....and Surly...Think I'll go wait outside Target Field right now.
  23. This. Certain days smoke was blowing back into the stadium and that affects everyone. And as for chewing tobacco, as digusting as that is, it doesn't affect anyone else so there is nothing wrong with it. This is a great move by the Twins. Yes it will piss some people off, but what policy change doesn't piss someone off?
  24. Still nothing offical yet. They have another hour to make the move.
