  1. Please specify whether you're looking down from the scroll or up from the button before asking me such a profound question.
  2. Explanation appreciated. Also, now I know why you posted that twice ... to demonstrate that after the first few bites it becomes a little more than interesting. Am I correct?
  3. But, my dear, in Minnesota it goes 1st violin, cello, viola, 2nd violin. And, as explaining is your thing, I said A because ... you know ... the third string on a violin ....
  4. ChiTown, is my brain playing tricks on me tonight (you know, déjà vu), or does this picture look eerily familiar to you too?
  5. I don't know where the violins counting as two sections come in, but since we're talking about violins ... I think that's a battle of many A's.
  6. Especially if ... >>> Watch Live Rugby Here!! >>> [link] USA vs. Canada - who will you root for?
  7. We're all terrified of your presence.
  8. It's a matter of choice ... combine beauty and the elements ... which would you prefer, a tornado or cyclone? (And oh, by the way, cyclones don't look like that from the ground, but I couldn't find a better pic.) http://blogs.discovermagazine.com/imageo/wp-content/blogs.dir/17/files/california-storm/california-cyclone.jpg A blizzard or earthquake? http://wac.450f.edgecastcdn.net/80450F/wjon.com/files/2011/11/Armistice-Day-Blizzard-2.jpg http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_8KMrX6Wq1ko/TMA29HnHoyI/AAAAAAAAH8k/Ny09qsRfhu4/s1600/striking-images-pictures-photos-san-francisco-earthquake-1906-004.jpg I'll take Minnesota any day of the year, but then I have done so involuntarily my whole life. I'd be curious to find out what the general populace's opinion was ....
  9. I'm guessing that somebody has already said this or something to this extent, but I don't really want to read 4 pages of bantering on whether we should continue the pitchfork meme or not just to see for myself. My takeaway is this: those who argue that the FO bashers turn away members are correct. However, those who take up the stance that those who protect the FO turn away just as many people are also correct. Why is this? And how? Because nobody (myself included) wants to be professional. Well, that, I am sure, is an exaggeration, but the word "nobody" is being used as a figure of speech here. The one side bashes the FO. The other side bashes the bashers for being bashers. That's why we both potentially turn away our audience. We all sit around and bash somebody or something instead of addressing situations professionally. At least, we've all been there. At least, most of us. I don't think that we need to lay down the pitchforks altogether (though I will press the point that it is over the top), but I also think that people have every right to defend the FO. It's a free country we live in! The key is probably to just tone it down a wee bit and not try to tell other people how to behave. It's one thing to express displeasure with something, but to bash is taking it too far. Even (or especially) if you're bashing someone for bashing. Now here I am telling people (myself included, btw - I'm a huge offender) to stop telling people what to do. Can't win in any situation. But I meant well ... just going to hit the "post" button for the heck of it.
  10. Molitor calls a team meeting after today's game versus the Yankees: http://img.pandawhale.com/post-31566-Homer-Simpson-fail-gif-you-tri-1Sbv.gif
  11. The Yankees have been, are, and always will be the literal manifestation of everything wrong.
  12. Kinda difficult when I can't see it.
  13. The Twins at this point in the season: http://24.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_m910ck9Msb1rrcc1go1_500.gif Btw, if anyone denies that it's the Twins, I'll be more than happy to call him Mr. Carker. I'm sure all of his teeth were smashed out of his head. A nice image for our Twins, yes.
  14. And if I remember correctly A-Rod bunted three over the fence ... not that you were calling for him to bunt ... but we should react to his bunts the way CC would to ours, correct?
  15. Ha ... well, you know what Einstein said: "Men marry women with the hope they will never change. Women marry men with the hope they will change. Invariably they are both disappointed.” At least you'll admit that we're perfect at one point in our lives. On the other hand ... men ......... no comment.
  16. Dave, for once I'm in agreement with you. I'm not sure if it's a point of sadness or not. But there would be nothing wrong with increased internet moderation. For instance, we have it at a private level here on TD. If I were to suddenly start plastering pornography all over the forums, I'm pretty sure I'd get a free and permanent leave of absence from the site. I see no reason why there should be no effort made to make the whole internet a safer place for minors. Yes, parents/teachers should be responsible, but the fact of the matter is they aren't. If something could be done to help those kids in areas their parents did not, why would anyone be against that? But we have strayed somewhat from the original subject.
  17. It's probably unreasonable for me to take offense at this, but I do. Let me assure you that I have never voluntarily looked at porn, nor have I been caught with it up on my screen and resorted to that dumbass excuse. And, for what it's worth, I do not have a significant other, least of all you, yet it was for you I posted that comment. So unless I'm a moron, you have now heard a legal adult say that. And maybe I exaggerated a bit, but it's still annoying. Not something I like to see ... lot's of people wouldn't mind it, I know, but I do. It's not just searches that pull this up ... it comes up in social media feeds and I'm constantly blocking/unfollowing people because I'm just sick and tired of it. I've cut back from social media because of it. It gets really old ... but it still comes up in searches. Just look up a lesser-known baseball prospect and scroll through the images. It won't take long to hit something ... at least I think so ... I'm pretty sure that that's one of the ways I've seen this stuff. Or look up the word "photography" or something ... I don't know if I've actually made that search, but I can guarantee you that if I did I'd see some porn. There are other things ... all it really takes is to be trying to find a picture for a research project and get beyond the point where everything's related, and voila. And then of course there's the searches where you don't go to images but click on a link, and there it is. Or you click on a link and then see what looks like a really good article on the side, click on that ... and then of course you're locked into the site and can't scroll back or close the window and have to reset your browser. Sheesh. But I am in agreement with you that it's the parents' responsibility to protect their kids. I mean, have children and expect the government to raise them for you? Lol ... but if (who is it - Iran? Iraq? Afghanistan?) can ban YouTube, why can't the US ban sites ... at least for certain audiences?
  18. When Chief's not around to say "WINNAH!!" his evil twin will just have to cry out "Losah."
  19. Hm, well, I'm feeling unimaginative at the moment so you'll have to content yourself with something from the great archives of my superior frontal gyrus: Dear Tech Support, Last year I upgraded from Boyfriend 5.0 to Husband 1.0 and noticed a distinct slow down in overall system performance — Particularly in the flower and jewelry applications, which operated flawlessly under Boyfriend 5.0. In addition, Husband 1.0 uninstalled many other valuable programs, such as Romance 9.5 and Personal Attention 6.5 and then installed undesirable programs such as NFL 5.0, NBA 3.0, and Golf Clubs 4.1. Conversation 8.0 no longer runs, and Housecleaning 2.6 simply crashes the system. I’ve tried running Nagging 5.3 to fix these problems, but to no avail. What can I do? Signed, Desperate --- Dear Desperate: First keep in mind, Boyfriend 5.0 is an Entertainment Package, While Husband 1.0 is an Operating System. Please enter the command: “http: I Thought You Loved Me.HTML” and try to download Tears 6.2 and don’t forget to install the Guilt 3.0 update. If that application works as designed, Husband 1.0 should then automatically run the applications Jewelry 2.0 and Flowers 3.5. But remember, overuse of the above application can cause Husband 1.0 to default to Grumpy Silence 2.5, Happy Hour 7.0 or Beer 6.1. Beer 6.1 is a very bad program that will download the Snoring Loudly Beta. Whatever you do, DO NOT install Mother-in-law 1.0 (it runs a virus in the background that will eventually seize control of all your system resources). Also, do not attempt to reinstall the Boyfriend 5.0 program. These are unsupported applications and will crash Husband 1.0. In summary, Husband 1.0 is a great program, but it does have limited memory and cannot learn new applications quickly. You might consider buying additional software to improve memory and performance We recommend Food 3.0 and Hot Lingerie 7.7. Good Luck, Tech Support
