  1. Berrios I would be interested in seeing a report on him He is getting all the SO I want to see. But the Walks/Hits are a problem. Are his SO swinging strikes? Is he crazy wild or just working on pitches? We were told his height makes a "downward plane" tough for him so his pitches come in "straighter" than a taller guy. Is this proving to be a problem?
  2. You make an excellent point when you mention the lousy MI at AAA. You are right. Beseford is preferable to anyone at Rochester.
  3. More on Beresford. Can he play SS? According to his numbers, he has only played it 4 times this year. Looking at his historical stats, he seems to put up a fair amount of errors at SS. - I know, errors are not the best fielding stat but thats all I got. - Furthermore if he hit .230 as a great defensive 2B that might be acceptable if he had some pop to his bat. But he doesn't. He is a really bad hitter when it comes to x Bases. He has 2311 Minor league ABs And 1 HR. Read that again 1 HR in his whole career, that is 4 less than Ben Revere. He doesn't seem great at getting Walks. He doesn't seem like a speedy guy as he only has 49 career stolen bases. He is good at hitting singles but this is the first time in his career that he is hitting over .300 I really think he needs to prove that for the whole season that he can sustain his unsustainable BABIP (.383) before he gets any kind of a callup. 4. I don't get this Beresford love. I think he is a marginal prospect at best. High Average? Yes. The highest ever in his MiLB career. But no power, not good at taking walks, and just slaps singles. Supposedly he has good Defense, but...good Defense at 2B is not a ticket to the big leagues. I am interested to know why you don't think Pinto and maybe Danny Ortiz do not deserve to be at AAA.
  5. From your post, it sounds like he might have problems out of the stretch. Is that right? I have heard that young guys can have this problem when they move from windup to stretch and have to wonder if being so tall some how makes it harder.
  6. Florimon had some defensive miscues in early in the season, but to be honest I have not noticed him making too many mistakes in the field recently. If he can be a + defensive Shortstop than I will take any offense we can get from him.
  7. I would prefer Gibson just because he is someone to hope on for the future. If everything works out for Deduno at best he is a 1 or 2 year fix. Gibson is a long term solution to this team's biggest weakness -starting pitching.
  8. Rock Cats have lost 8 in a Row! The season can get away from you fast. They need to put together a winning streak.
  9. Are pitchers starting to pitch around Buxton?
  10. Too bad Colabello & Arcia both happen to play positions that the Twins are strongest at.
  11. "I don't think the Twins are getting enough credit for their draft picks over the past two years." I sort of agree with this but I wish they would have went after some higher upside HS arms last year. However, I really agree that the twins are not getting credit for their international FA signings. 3 out of your top ten were not drafted: Arcia - International Free Agent Sano - International Free Agent Kepler - International Free Agent Pretty good scouting down there - though Sano kind of fell into their laps, but who is counting! These are guys who any other team could have got but the Twins go there first.
  12. Who was fooled and how? Did anyone think they were going to get any big name pitchers? If so they were just hoping as Ryan was pretty clear that none of those big names were going
  13. You don't have my all time Favorite super sleeper in this list: Randy Rosario Stats, Bio, Photos, Highlights | MiLB.com Stats | The Official Site of Minor League Baseball 18 Years Old Lefty Extreme Ground Ball pitcher - Has not given up a HR in 23 professional games 42 SO in 38 IP. I would put him somewhere in the top 50
  14. Levi is not a good player right now. He can't play SS, He can't seem to hit and he has played himself out of the prospect list. I have no problem with that at all. He will repeat at the FSL this year, maybe he can figure it out.
  15. Nice List Interesting that you have Hicks / Arcia above Buxton but Gibson below Berrios & Meyer. I assume you have Hicks / Arcia high because they are closer, but Gibson falls to the upside of Berrios and Meyer. - I'm not calling you out, I see this a lot and I just think its interesting. I would put it: Sano Buxton Meyer Hicks Arcia Gibson Berrios Rosario May Kepler But...the best thing is The Twins System is PACKED with high upside players with more to come in June...awesome
  16. If you have to over pay go for Sanchez. He is young and good so might as well pay the premium for him.
  17. These guys should not take innings away fromBerrios and Mata for Cedar Rapids I will be surprised if any of them make the club as a starter.
  18. Leaving out 2011 leaves you open to the charge of cherry picking, as that is when the sentiment changed due to the mysterious injuries, unsourced quotes, and an unprofessional training staff. He had a weird attitude that year and his agent / PR team / GM / Coach did him no favors. Black Marks are hard to erase, he needs playoff success to win the fans the back. Hope the new GM backs him up with pitchers so he has the chance.
  19. Goodrum is one of my favorite prospects to watch. I was hoping he would come back in his 2nd year at low A ball and knock the ball around. But he didn't so he will suffer. As a 2nd rounder fans should heap some expectations on him hopefully he deliveries
  20. His Minor League Stats were pretty good: http://www.baseball-reference.com/minors/player.cgi?id=trout-001mik But I think everyone knows what have happened if the Twins drafted him. Trout would be on the DL with Tommy John / Knee Surgery / or some misdiagnosed wrist thing...

    Plouffe

Seems like just a few days ago he was "day-to-day" and "just about back" Yet another fail for the training staff.

    New Britain callups

That OF defense must be fantastic Few balls must drop in the gap and no one should run on Arcia's arm. This could be the 2014 OF for the MN twins
  23. Did you even look at box scores? Milb.com says that Floriemon (sp?) closed the game for the Red Wings. Seems like that should be mentioned somewhere
  24. Thanks for putting the age. That is great info. But I think your age forSam Deduno isn't right. I think he is 29. When I saw the age 23 I got too excited.
