I wouldn't think there would be any reason to put him on waivers before the 7 days then, hopefully other teams sign free agents (Napoli/Carter/etc) giving them less 40-man flexibility and a likelier chance for Park to get through waivers. Do you know if the 10 days is calendar or business days?

My question is who said he wasn't a great leader? From the ESPN stories the only thing I see is other teams don't like him because of his bat flips, some fan in KC doesn't like him because he pretended to throw a ball into the stands, and Steve Phillips says the clubhouse is on eggshells because Bautista needs to play angry. I cleaned cars at a car rental place and brought a little TV I had and plugged it into the island where we had the vacuums and gas pumps. Luckily the managers went home around the time the game started, so I would just do a little work during commercials and between at bats to make it look like I had accomplished something. I think there is an even greater chance scouting reports could be wrong for a guy who has only been a professional pitcher for 3 seasons after spending most of college as a position player. I sure hope he is part of any deal.

Torn on him, glad we have him starting and not hill/whoever else, but would like to see him be responsible for leading them to some wins. Penalties/negative plays have killed a bunch of drives, but he doesn't seem to do much after to help the team overcome them. I went back and watched games I had DVRed and he's lucky he doesn't have 3 or 4 times as many INTs

I went to a couple OKC Dodgers games last summer with my family and at the second game we were sitting behind home plate and there were a ton of scouts that the stadium employees told us were looking at the Dodgers pitcher in possible trades. I thought maybe it had been De Leon but I went back and looked and it was just Carlos Frias. I'm glad because he really wasn't that impressive. The other starter we saw (Brock Stewart) was much more impressive. Like the Dodgers fan that posted earlier in the thread said, he had a really nice game in the majors against the Cubs and finished the year in the Majors pretty strong, so I'm hoping maybe the Twins are holding out to get him as the 3rd or 4th piece.

1991 Game 7 for me also. I would put 2001 and 1997 ahead also, getting to see a team win with a walk-off in front of their home crowd is always great. If Cleveland would have come back with 3 runs in the bottom of the 10th to keep the Cubs the lovable losers then this year could have made a case vs 1991.
