    Right now, I'd say that NFL football is more America's game than MLB baseball is, due to a multiple of on field and off field reasons.

    True enough. But not when the offense is treating scoring runs like it invokes the plague and therefore should be avoided at all costs.

    Maybe it wasn't clear, but my barb was aimed directly at the very offensive offense, not the pitching.

    True enough, but nowadays, the pitchers almost have to throw a shutout for us to have any chance of winning. That's not a good formula for winning baseball games.
