  1. I see Thorpe getting some mound time today, provided he made it to the ballpark.
  2. With the wind blowing as it appears to be, I'm also not sure I'd want Harper out there either, especially with that slow stuff he throws.
  3. Would definitely be easier on the nerves and the blood pressure.
  4. It is for most teams most games. But it somehow doesn't apply to us.
  5. Regardless of the stat line, this was a(nother) rather pathetic performance by Berrios. I don't know what's wrong, but he needs some help somewhere.
  6. Looks like we're about ready to give that run right back. UGH!
  7. Yes, but man cannot live on drama alone. There needs to be some stress relievers in there in order to maintain some degree of sanity in this experience we call life.
  8. 2 questions: 1. Why can't we do things the easy way? 2. Why can't we have nice things, like many other teams?
  9. Looks like we have the bad Berrios tonight. Score 8 times in the first 2 innings and we're in a nail-biter already. SHEESH!
  10. This recent practice of giving runs back immediately after scoring has got to stop. The sooner the better.
  11. Almost wish I was a mind reader inside the Twins front office. Unfortunately, I'm not.
  12. A lot of very winnable games coming up in the next couple of weeks. Time to lengthen the lead, especially with Cleveland having a number of very tough games coming up, before we meet again.
  13. I'm beginning to wonder if Falvine was angling for 2020 right from the start. When we started hot and looked like a deep playoff run was a possibility, it's possible they decided not to mess too much with the 2020 plan. Thus, no moves of any real significance. I hope I'm wrong, but I just can't shake that thought.
  14. Sorry, but I beg to differ. Bludgeoning teams to death, like what happened a lot early in the season, doesn't require pluck. On the other hand, losing winnable games and saying they had a lot of pluck sounds like a shallow moral victory, at best. And there's been more than a few of those games in the past month or so.
  15. I couldn't agree more with both statements.
  16. Lost yet another very winnable game. AARGH!
