    Polanco isn't anywhere near elite. Small things, poor flip to second the other night to kill a DP etc. he isn't any worse than Santana or Esco, or Nunez. But those are low bars.

    I just don't think you can be a continual contender with this fielding. I think the OF can be OK as is. I like both Polanco and Sano, but you either need dominant pitching or better fielding. Ugn

    Two things by now seem obvious! Don't throw fastballs in to Dozier, and don't run on Rosario! What is not pvvious is why do u spend all that money on scouting if you don't pay any attention to it?

    I saw a food truck the other day on 94. It said macdonalds on the side. I really wanted a Happy Meal but he refused to stop. Very frustrating!

    I missed this the first time........ Are short show hosts and columnists more likely to make molehills out of mountains?

    I don't know if I have ever seen anyone as hot as Dozier. He seems to get one pitch in his wheelhouse every AB, and hammers about 50% of them. If I was pitching to him, I would stay off the plate away. Mistakes hit the corner. If I walk him, I walk him. I don't think he has the patience to put up with that for too long, and would expand his zone. It's only ego that makes pitchers throw him strikes. One other thing about him. He doesn't appear to work the count, he hits the first thing he likes. I just watched Plouffe take a first pitch belt high hanger the size of a watermelon. Dozier would have his AB finished on that pitch.

    I put out one of my usual thoughtful and concise spot on posts, and it disappeared into thin air. Bottom line, I agree. Is the announcing crew, parroting the coaching staff, i.e. Rosario. Plouffe completely blew that catch at 1B, most high school kids catch that because they don't stretch too early. He goes unmentioned. There are more examples, but anyway, there seems a correlation between the media comments, and the pronouncements from the coaching staff.
