  1. If you put Buxton in center and reduce oswaldos need to go to far to his right, he will look better! Great? NO. But better
  2. YI was being a little sarcastically cynical Is that the opposite of cynically sarcastic
  3. A large building with patients
  4. They strutted and crowed To escape they done rowed?
  5. What? Those were some of the greatest movies ever made! "And don't call me Shirley"
  6. They have hospitals in Iowa??
  7. That's what he told you, he was probably waving at another woman!
  8. Since I dont read all the threads, I imagine others don't also. I pasted this to the 50 top prospects thread, maybe would have been more appropo here? Since Santanna is starting at SS tonight, Gardy must not consider Cleveland a contender? So is he trying to earn Kurt a few extra bucks? http://blogs.twincities.com/twins/2014/08/13/twinsights-kurt-suzuki-collects-first-part-potential-500000-bonus-package/
  9. But in a more serious tone, has the following got anything to do with Gardy's choice of catchers?? Mi apologize for being off topic, but the thought just occurred to me, so I went to the Google. http://blogs.twincities.com/twins/2014/08/13/twinsights-kurt-suzuki-collects-first-part-potential-500000-bonus-package/ I
  10. Spoiler alert, snarky comment to follow: Maybe we could bring him up this fall, and Gardy could get him some games when we aren't playing a contender??
  11. Because the only hills in ND are being used as exit ramps, where can you go to get a good view of all the more scenic spots?
  12. Well that answers the age old question "why did the skunk cross the road?"
  13. Could you be more precise, almost the entire world is "south of Bismark"
  14. Our softball team used to stand and cheer each other also! It was a slow pitch team. And our pitchers ERA's were lower than the Twins SP
  15. This doesn't change until Buxton, Sano, Meyer, Polanco et al get here and start pushing some others out. The Twins have too many average players. Average players make average teams. You watch Alexi Ramirez play short, and then EE. That's the talent spread we have to fill, at least partially. Lastly, there is absolutely nothing in Gardy's history that indicates he is the man to handle the lineup that hopefully this team will send out by the end of next year. It's a complete total embarrassment after 4 years to put up with this.
  16. He has to go! Butera, Bartlett, Kubel, Guerrere (sp), all players he wanted to keep or add. Some well past there prime, some never had a prime. You can add Punto, but not because he was not an acceptable utility man, but because to Gardy he was a full time player. Maybe the "twins way" should be "twins player"! And there are times when it appears ability has nothing to do with it!
  17. Santanna would be a better CF than Buxton? You are right, he has to play. But the answer to the following question tells a lot? Can he play IF at Bert's major league level? We don't know cuz Gardy has dug in his heels. If he can, and if he is the Twins best player, then either EE, or BD, or Plouffie have to move. If he can't, it leaves only left field. There are no tea leaves that show Buxton failing so far, and while Arcia is way too exciting defensively, if his bat does not carry him, I will relinquish my TD profile. Yes he is a bit of a butcher out there, but I still have not seen anyone play RF well here, that overhang is good looking and makes a nice place to plant flowers. As for DH'ing Arcia, there are two things the Twins do not need. DH's and first baseman. While I agree he has to play, if one is thinking past June of next year, CF is not going to be the spot.
  18. I like BD, especially his hair. If for no other fact that when my son in law put his Cardboard cutout in the basement, and his wife went around the corner down there and ran into Brian, he scared the bejeezus out of here. (Reason enough to keep him) That said the HR will likely remain in direct relationship to the amount of high inside fastballs he sees, which will likely be few and far in between. Can he be replaced by an in house candidate in the near future? Likely. He does not have to be. But if you don't, you will need to be prepared for the last half of,this seasons version.
  19. Who' d a thunk it.... AND WE'LL SEE YOU TOMORROW NIGHT!!
  20. Was hoping no one saw that.... Or would have the common decency to overlook it.
  21. We don't run for Plouffie?
  22. Did that really just happen, They don't replay old games do they??
  23. Dick and Bert have done everything but nominate Ricky for a statue in TF Plaza! I wonder how Jack Morris feels about no longer owning the greatest game ever pitched in Twins history?
  24. One of those cute three wheelers they drive backwards down the road would help with that tipping problem!
