  1. Sleepy..... After a couple dozen chocolate chip cookies and a half gallon of milk....
  2. I had to look it up also,,,, I had assumed it was an intestinal disorder?
  3. Now u made me feel bad..... The first thing I looked for online was porn!
  4. I used to stop at a place off Columbus av. There was a funeral home on the way, with bars on the windows.... (Free beer to the first "they were dying to get in"). If it says we cash checks, in more than 3 languages, I get confused.
  5. The only good thing about Indiana is that it is only 24 miles wide! (If you sneak into Michigan). On another interesting note, I found it surprising that the Indiana hiway patrol thinks seat belt usage is a good idea. Surprising and might I add expensive!
  6. Your right,,, after driving thru Chicago Gary is like an oasis in the desert!
  7. But the EL does not go thru Summit, home of the Giant Burrito!
  8. I tried that once, but got tired of having to walk that slow in all the traffic
  9. Normally I agree with Brian (great minds tend to think alike). But you can go to manitowoc, and take the ferry to Michigan,,, did that with the bike a couple years ago.... That said another inconsideration was putting that lake right next to Chicago! You would think Gary was enough of a hinderance
  10. That can't happen, you can't get started in Chicago traffic,,, but you can get stopped, and stopped, and stopped, and stopped, and stopped................
  11. It took me almost 4 hours to drive thru Chicago a couple years ago, the guy in the toll booth said it was because the Hawks had a playoff game? I personally found it inconsiderate of the Balckhawks to cause such a disruption to my schedule!
  12. Unless of course it is on TD!!
  13. Stole this paragraph, which I found interesting..... It's a long way of saying you can lead a horse to water............. Incentivized by baseball’s growing revenues, almost every team has installed an analytics department and a GM who’s open to recent research. The factor differentiating front offices, then, isn’t necessarily the quality of their number crunching, but the quality of their communication, a subject that Astros GM Jeff Luhnow expounded upon earlier this summer, shortly before firing manager Bo Porter. To make the most of their R&D dollars, teams are increasingly focusing on figuring out Step 3: minimizing baseball’s upstairs-downstairs drama by ensuring that front offices and field staffs are on the same page (or at least in the same book). In the interest of fairness, no names of local managers will be named to protect the obtuse!
  14. Since the twins refuse to trade when a player is top dollar, maybe they will give away at bottom dollar.... Or more likely they will do the wort possible thing! NOTHING,
  15. So what to do? 4 yrs of 90 losses! This last year with a new All Star catcher, new SS, CF, DH, 1B, and all new SP'ers. The only things not new? Arcia, Dozier, Plouffie, and the results. So the only constant over the last 4 years is the FO and the field staff (mostly). If TR announces Gardy stays because he was yet again not supplied with adequate personell, it should be accompanied with his (TR) resignation. If that is not the case then Gardy needs to go. But somehow, something has to change. This is getting silly!
  16. So if they keep Gardy, the Twins will be the only team that did not fire a 4 for -90 manager except for Connie Mack, who was the owner also? I used to own a business. I was terrible at running it. But whenever I wanted to fire myself, I could not find any one as capable as myself of running it.
  17. I hate to mention the ball game on here, it seems to ruin the flow of the conversation... But is tonight number 90
  18. You have to quit with the trilogy tho.... kind of like " the man with no name" series.
  19. Or the sequel! Fractured hand, broken dreams
  20. Fortunately substance abuse on TD is virtually unheard of!
  21. Well that seems to take care of the rejuvenated Ricky!
  22. Bear pee? Well then what are the Clydesdales for?
  23. If I would have had you teaching English in high school, not only would I be a far superior writer, I would have mastered the infield fly rule at a much younger age!
  24. I was typing my take on Gardy et al on the Gardy blog.... I struggled mightily about erasing it, the argument was so persuasive! Then I saw Nolasco not cover first and felt vindicated! And it isn't likely the field staff never told him he had to cover first on a grounder to the right. But it is the field staff who has failed to make not doing it unacceptable.
