    Twins CANT go over slot. You can only go 10 % over your allotted bonus pool. The twins have the tenth highest bonus so they will not be giving 5 mil to anyone. Screw borass clients anyway. That guy is the worst.

    Just read a scouting report about Cody Reed that talked about teams having to work with him about weight. That scares me. Scares me enough to wait until the third. He is like a Bryant McKinney guy. Also didnt we take a big fatty a few years ago who was a power arm but is still struggling with heaviness (name escapes me now). in second round,has anyone had us on Matt Imhof from Cal Poly? left hander who throws in mid 90s. Fringe ave. curve. Show him a changeup see what happens?

    I love how some of us follow the draft for months and have good conversations about prospects. Then a week beforenthe draft we have ppl come on and talk about Gordon's low floor and Nolas low floor. Yet, even us draft nuts are not scouts and I would venture to say that cmb and one other guy are remotely qualified tontalk about prospects. The pundits and scouts and periodicals have Nola and Gordon ranked in top 6 range. This to me means both would be good picks. We have to wait 4 years to see if Nola is a success and possibly 7 for Gordon. The book is still out on guys until they get about 1000 ab's. So we'll see I. 5 years if Gordon was a good pick or not. What I am trying to say is we are all ignorant (Socratic method).

    Baseball Prospectus rated his slider as one of best in minors. It is a major league pitch right now.

    No need for most of these promotions. Trevor May will get a shot soon but not at the expense of cutting Kevin C. Depth at SP is not a bad thing. KC is nothing great, but even 4s and 5s have value. Jared Burton has a good enough track record that you cant just cut him either. Kubel, sure. Gilmartin, maybe. You have some other good moves and i think vargas might get moved or be a september callup. I think another possible move might be a trade of willingham. Dude is mashing and is finally healthy. If we fall out of contention he might be first guy gone.

    Reports are that he is working strictly fb/change. I think it is a great idea as he needs to learn how to pitch and not rely on his slider which is his best pitch. Just imagine how good he could be with that slider.

    Nice stuff on Buxty at the end there. Get him at-bats? Could he be talking about Arizona Fall League? Can he repeat the league this year? I know that we all expect Sano to DH towards the end of the year and then go to AFL. How cool would it be to have both of those fellows in the AFL and possibly see JO Berrios. Sounds like an AFL to be excited about (assuming Buxton could be added again). Also wonder if Rosario could play too. Ill google it and get back to the thread. edit. I couldnt find anything about repeating. But did find that players have to be activated 45 days before the end of their season (from dl). Also, foreign born players have some regulations so Sano might not be able to play for both of those reasons. Anyone else want to clarify?

    So this years draft class has 4 HOF guys in it and another guy who won multiple Cy Youngs. Sounds like a good draft class. How about Gordon, he has Ozzy Smith like glove right? Lets keep the comps a little more realistic.

    Just watched the replay of May's game. He looked pretty good. Got out of two jams with runners on the corner with 1 out. His curve looked pretty damn good. Now I am no scout and do not want to sound like I kno what I am talking about, but May looked like a mid rotation guy. Announcer said mid 90s at times. The change is a major league pitch. The fb has some sink to it. He holds runners well and is extremely quick to the plate. Seemed to me like he does the lttle things right. Now he still has things to work on in AAA like keeping the ball down. He still misses his spots with the fb too much, but he looks the part. He is going to be in the rotation at target field for years to come. Oh and he looks much slimmer than when I saw him last year.

    I respectfully disagree with this opinion. If people dont like the manager or coaches or gm, there are other things to do. The lynx are pretty good. Maybe other people with different opinions can go watch them. I mean this with all due respect and would never want to offend anyone because i disagree with their views. Go twins and lynx. Also hbo is pretty sweet.

    Lets slow down. Joe is fine. He is still hitting above league average. It is a slow start, you guys talking about trades are ridiculous. Any team in the league would die for a star like this. He will turn it around like he always does and end up hitting .320, yet some guys on this site will bitch because he only hit 10 dingers...clueless fans.

    Gordon OR Nola. I (and most online scouts) would be ok with either. I want some drama though. I want stuff to get messed up with a curveball. I dont see the cubs going with jackson so we shall see.
