    I have said this on a few different threads but ill say it again...Mike Trout had one of the best seasons in past 30 years [or so my geek friends tell me (WAR)] and did not break camp with the angels because of service time. It is not just a money thing. It is about one month in the minors versuses one less year of service when a guy is 27-28 years old. Wil myers will start in AAA, Bryce Harper started the year in AAA. The other argument is: are these guys even ready? Hicks has no at bats over AA so sending him to AAA and getting at bats there is what most teams would do. As far as Gibbie goes, he could get roughly 5 starts before being called up. I dont see any harm in 5 milb starts

    I boo Jeter. This anonymous source better be right because I am sooo excited to see the Yankees lose. They have an old lineup, no granderson for a few months, and an outrageously strong division. I think they might be dwellers this year. P.s. I may change my name to "I boo Jeter." How classic would that name be.

    Got to keep them down. The point is that you get another year of their prime versus their rookie year. This is why the best teams do it. Do you think that Harper and Trout deserved to be on the roster in May? Probably. But even they got held back a year so that they could gain another year of service for their respective teams. Hicks is no Trout or Harper so he should definatly be sent to Rochester to start the year.

    Speaking of website advertising, my web-browswer on my android has pop-up adds when I go to Twinsdaily. Anyone else had that problem? My fingers are far to large so instead of hitting the X button I usually open up the add. Frustrating.

This one you can look at without a stupid subscription (I'm talking to you ESPN, BaseballAmerica, and BaseballProspectus). Buxton gets the nod over Sano as does Hicks over Arcia. One thing I found a little off was how low he has May (12) behind Polanco, Kepler, and Harrison. Thought??s

    Don't talk about morals when a guy ALREADY signed a 1.8 million dollar signing bonus. I know it is a business and that was his market value yada yada yada, but he made more with one signing than I will make in a whole career of teaching. So I think that the Twins not having him on the 25 man roster for until May has nothing to with morals and everything to do with looking towards the future.

    I do not think he has any deals on the table right now. I would bet teams have checked in and said, "Listen, Kyle, my brother, we would like to sign you but the draft pick is killing us." Question: If he doesn't sign, we have to think this is a plus for the Twins right, because they would end up moving up one pick in the second round in the draft. This pick is much higher than last years second round picks.

    With an attitude like that, glad we didn't sign him. Also, I am calling bull**** on that one. It is easy to say that after you sign a major deal, but if the Twins or Astros offered 151 million and the Angels or Dodgers offers 150, your going to go to the team that is a winner (at least as fans we hope you would). Frankly, those guys should remember they are playing a game that all of us would do for 1000 times less money or even for free. I wonder how his personality disorder plays in LA.

    As a high school umpire I am totally in favor for the fixed clock in baseball. You don't know how many Friday and Saturday afternoons I have had to ump when it is 95, humid, and the pitcher can't find the strike zone, which is anywhere between the top of the helmet to the shoelaces. Worst sport to officiate ever (including volleyball which is easy but terrible to watch)

    Start him out for the first month in Rochester. Build up stamina as well as save a year of service. Wait until May to bring him up, that is only a month and we will get another year of service. This is an easy one. If he pitches the way we think he can pitch, an extra month for another year in his prime at a low salary is vital. Who knows if we will be able to or even want to sign him past his arbitration years, he will be 29 years old at the back half of his prime.
