  1. Joey Gallo stands up: .177/.301/.440 (.741 OPS) 21 HR, 40 RBI - 2023 slash line with Twins, TD basically ran him out of town, did not write articles suggesting he was one of the teams better hitters.
  2. No, it says more about how misleading certain metrics/new age stats can be, OPS being one of them.
  3. The Twins are working on in-season adjustments to his pitches, it's more about the process than the results, especially at this point in this very long, very lost season.
  4. Would have been nice if the team could have let us know they were just going to phone it in for the rest of season. Done watching this train wreck (a little later than others), might check scores and stats once in a while...
  5. Lenient official scoring there....that looked like a PB to me, not a WP
  6. When your hands are cuffed by the Pohlad's you can only do so much...
  7. Team back to trying to hit HRs instead of putting it in play and building the inning from there...
  8. It was bad enough I thought it was gone also...
  9. 1 run allowed over 3 innings so far has kept them close...
  10. This kind of baseball has to be absolutely killing Rocco.....
  11. With this offense suddenly able to score runs (sometimes seemingly at will), one has to question (again) why Rocco left Zebby (or any SP for that matter) out there to give up 9 runs before getting the BP going.
  12. Fitzgerald appears to have a quicker release and to throw a little harder than Lee does...
  13. Really starting to like this Pereda kid...
  14. Anybody who can't/won't/doesn't want to stay awake to watch the Twins-Angels game should tune into TBS, the Yankees are having a BP implosion on live TV!!
  15. Easier than you think...
  16. Gene Mauch...2 different times....
  17. Picking apart the pitching and a few guys hitting does not paint the complete picture of this team, The defense is horrible; misplaying routine grounders, bad routes on fly balls, dropped fly balls (Buxton included), throwing to the wrong base and/or over throwing the cut-off man. And this doesn't include the weak arms trotted out to 2B and SS or the bad throws to the bases by the infielders. While I like the more aggressive approach to baserunning, a team that has been coached to conservatively run the bases can't just flip the switch, this team has been thrown out due to indecision on the bases and picked off at an alarming rate since August 1, many times that shut down a potential big inning. So again, the pitching and hitting are only part of the problem, they are pretty bad at most parts of the game or have the wrong bodies in important positions. Growing pains are tough for players and fans alike, maybe some of these guys can figure it out and the next group(s) of prospects don't turn out to be the next Julien, Miranda, etc...
  18. This Bailey is still only hitting 89 MPH on his four-seamer....
  19. I have been indifferent towards Baldelli up until now. I understand he has to use the players he has, but putting Topa in for Fundeburk was a very bad decision. Topa has not been good for awhile and Fundeburk has at least shown that he's been an average MLB reliever as of late. Hamstrung or not, Rocco is not making good calls as of late and should probably be let go.
  20. This team is hard to cheer for....
  21. RH batter in Keaschall, now Buck should at least think about stealing 3B...
