  1. Regardless of your feelings over today's line-up and the handling of Buxton and his knee, the team was still in position to win and rightfully should have. MLB screwed up badly and I would not be surprised to see an apology from the league office after a review, sort of like what happens in the NFL from time to time. It won't take the sting out of today's loss, but they'll feel better about themselves for the review system that "corrected" a call that was correctly made on the field.
  2. Only reliever with any bullets left...
  3. Buxton batting for Cave for sure....maybe?!?!
  4. Should probably get Mahle and Bundy in Anaheim.
  5. After the SSS of good results, the real Jake Cave has arrived.
  6. That hanging curve he threw Hernandez almost added fuel to the fire....
  7. Archer goes 5 innings and 79 pitches, which ties for his 2nd most this season. Does he go back for the 6th, or Rocco stick with his only 2x through line-up mantra?
  8. Archer averages 71.5 pitches per start and he's at 45 through 2 innings. BP will be called on in the 4th, unless Baldelli is decides to go against his own analytics and push him higher due to the extra days off over the next 10 days.
  9. Well, will you look at that, soft contact (74 MPH) resulting in a lazy fly ball!!
  10. Everything put into play is 104 MPH and higher against Archer....
  11. Just wait until Sands has to throw 3 innings and Pagan 2 to pick up Archer.
  12. https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2022/08/alex-kirilloff-to-undergo-season-ending-surgery.html
  13. Like it or not they are going to need Pagan today considering Baldelli's management (or lack thereof) of the BP this weekend and the fact we know Archer is only going 4. 1 of those 4 can fly west with the team (or even all 4, fill that taxi squad).
  14. Granted he's a part time player, but Celestino has crashed into the wall since July 1 - .188/.235/.219 for an OPS of .454. He's a little young to just be considered defense-only, but he is definitely trending that way.
  15. Might get 8 innings of 1 run ball, might get 4 innings of 6-8 runs...
  16. I will take the win, but he did only go 4 innings. And we all know Archer is going no more than 4 tomorrow.
  17. Nope, Lopez it is. I don't agree, team may need him tomorrow.
  18. Arraez has had about the ugliest 3 hit game I can recall. He's swung at 6 pitches out of the zone, collecting hits on 2 of them and fouling off 3 others.
  19. If he comes out for the 9th it will be the third time.
  20. The ball came back at 98 MPH, would have been a highlight reel play if he had made it.
