    I don't subscribe to the idea that having pitchers pitch is mismanagement in any way. There's zero evidence last year's innings total limits this year's.

    Both the 3-0 and 3-1 pitches were middle middle. You can't get more predictable, easy to hit pitches. Perfect opportunity to tie the game on 1 swing. Nobody is asking for him to swing at balls. But you can't donanybdamage watching strikes, and getting yourself a predictable pitch is worthless if you do t take advantage of it. It's bad baseball.
