  1. Not that it matters, but I'd call wRC+ a metric, rather than a statistic. Either way, I'd prefer the Twins keep giving Wallner chances for at least this season. He does have the potential to be a quality hitter, and it's not like there are better options currently. There are a couple minor leaguers who are gonna need a chance soon, but there's low hanging fruit to drop before Wallner. However, I disagree he's been a good MLB hitter to date, except in short stretches.
  2. I'm with you right up until you want Tristan Gray getting as much playing time as any other infielder. Tristan Gray isn't ever going to be a quality MLB hitter. We already know this. Hes 30 years old, has been playing professionally since 2014, and has over 3200 minor league PAs of proof. He's not even a particularly good defensive SS. Giving Tristan Gray playing time is how you stay as bad as the Twins are. I have little faith Brooks Lee is going to be a good MLB player. But we don't necessarily know that yet. We know with certainty Tristan Gray will not be an above average MLB player. Giving him more playing time than absolutely necessary only delays finding one.
  3. Going as well as I expect from the Doofus speech tonight.
  4. Sure! Investing in 30 year old career minor leaguers who have proven they can't hit is exactly what teams in the Twins position should be doing.
  5. Concur...what "young relievers?" Not excited about the bats, either, except maybe Jenkins, but I'd rather watch them than tbis dreck.
  6. 1-2 Minnesota at 1-2 Kansas City. "Somebody's one, is about to be done!"
  7. Disagree. The Twins don't have many four gsme series, and without confirming I'm gonna state from memory no six game series.
  8. It's odd this hasn't been discussed 4575 times over the winter. Although, to be fair, "the Twins have too many bats" is a new take.
  9. Yes. Larnach got a terrible jump and was given a late stop sign. Gray didnt even look and just kept running until he got almost to 3rd and then noticed Larnach still there. We were fortunate Baltimore played to get Gray out and Larnach was able to score while that was going on. The double went all the way to the wall in RF and Larnach should have scored easily. Cost poor Gray an RBI and a triple. The good news is, Larnach's baserunning will get lost in the 2 other egregious baserunning blunders today.
  10. Where is all this "all the early days off" line coming from? The Twins have a.scheduled off day Tuesday, then not another until April 16th. After that, one more off day though the end of April. That's 3 off days until May 5th.
