  1. Do we know who this is? Asking for a friend...
  2. Viola, Radke, Tapani, Erickson, Santana This team sucks across the entire organization. I've never been more down on any team I root for in a very long time as much as I am about these guys. Zero leadership on the bench or in the field. No one steps up in a clutch situation. No pitcher wants the ball in a big spot and comes through. I've tried to stay patient but everything they've tried to work for has been shredded and there needs to be a new way of thinking around these parts. Otherwise, we're gonna become what the Royals were for 25 years.
  3. For those of you who want May in the rotation, his ERA would be astronomical and he'd tax the bullpen. What is that, 3 leads he's blown this year? Worthless. Speaking of worthless, how about these clowns leaving the bases loaded again twice tonight. Either get new players or fire Bruno and bring in someone that can actually teach clutch hitting.
  4. Pictured -- Dave St. Peter meets with remaining STH to go over promotions schedule for rest of home schedule. http://cdn4.thr.com/sites/default/files/2012/02/simpsons.jpg
  5. FSN had a slomo showing it hit the fan's hand. Whether he was reaching over is impossible to tell unless you have a camera right on the wall line.
  6. Bremer -- How in the world does the ball get out of the ballpark? Me -- Because it hit the fan's hand, Dick. Can see it on the replay where Meyer's head gets in the way.
  7. Highly appropriate that Plouffe's first AB after his DL stint results in a DP. Some things never change.
  8. If the season starts in May then sure, he can certainly save it. But unless Berrios can hit .320, move runners over reliably and get hits with the bases loaded, then he isn't saving anything. And really, that's a slap in the face to the current starting staff. If you throw out the April 9 game vs KC (Milone) and the April 22 game at Milwaukee (Gibson), the starters have done everything in their power to give this team victories. The Twins swoon to start the season is solely on the bats and to think a pitcher is going to save this ongoing disaster of a season is silly.
  9. Yeah, about Tonkin being one of only most reliable relievers.... This team SUCKS. No excuse for the mess they've become. And I've moved a lot closer to the side of those who want Terry Ryan out and a full cleansing of this front office.
  10. Unlikely...but the way this game is going, his unborn child might be able to.
  11. Put the sunglasses back on Joe!! How do you look at that pitch?
  12. Abad must think this is the Sunday slow-pitch softball league with that salad.
  13. Off the plate as well....but I've seen those called strikes so this guy behind the plate must be worried about his Questec stats.
  14. FWIW, I'm watching the Nats feed and they had the graphic box up on the 2-2 pitch replay and the ball was off the plate. As an umpire, I don't like that box because of the second guessing and because I don't think it's truly accurate. And when ESPN puts it up right over the plate instead of off to the side, I turn the game off.
  15. Typical....get the bullpen some runs to play with and this is the thanks the offense gets. Call Me Maybe...
  16. That May outing was just the warmup for the Carly Rae main event one inning from now.
  17. Remember when we used to have Wilson Ramos? Thanks, Billy!!
  18. 18 strikeouts today. I may try to go to the bar tonite and see if I can match that. Surely, I couldn't be that pathetic!! And once again, an embarrassing showing on one side of the ball after another quality outing by Hughes. I don't know what else we can expect this pitching staff to do when they're getting zero support (Gibson's outings notwithstanding).
  19. What's Wilson Ramos doing these days? *cries* *curses Bill Smith* *shakes fist*
  20. 0 for 12 with the bases loaded this season. I mean, you have to TRY to be that awful.
  21. If I had a dollar for every time this franchise left the bases loaded, I'd be swimming Scrooge McDuck style in my basement of gold coins. If we weren't playing in an NL park and the bench wasn't already short, I'd have sat Arcia for that at-bat. But then, someone probably told him to go after that first pitch after 8 straight balls.
  22. Given how the first 2 innings worked out, I'd say that's a loose interpretation of 'perform'.
  23. What I would have written after the Rivera triple had my wireless not gone down... Why not walk Gennett here? Yeah, you take a chance with it being Braun up next but at least you set up a DP to get out of the inning unscathed. And Braun hits into a double play. *facepalm* Seriously, does someone know how to handle these type of late-game situations?
  24. How is there a Little League game going on at Target Field if the kids are still in school at this hour? Oy vey, the fielding in this inning...
  25. And the wolves begin to howl louder...
