    Analytics weren't that prevalent in 1995 when Hawkins came up. So how the heck did they come up with that pie graph illustrating his percentages over 10,000 career pitches? Who got stuck with that job?

    If you're gonna elevate a fastball to the 9th place hitter with 2 strikes you better damn well make sure that he can't do anything but foul it off. That pitch allowed Wolters to get distance on the hit rather than keeping it low and make him beat it into the ground. And now look where this inning has gone.

    Someone needs to tell that ball kid down the RF line that it ain't his job to try to catch a popup. He looked like he wanted to make that play on the Grossman foul ball and Desmond was about to run him over if he could have gotten there.

    Oh, I'm very greedy. But I also know that Tepesch has the potential for a Grade I Hazmat situation tomorrow.

    Nice of Barnes to elevate that pitch to give Joe the launching pad he needed to get it out with that wind swirling around. Makes up for another crappy outing by Kintzler. And with Tepesch going tomorrow, they needed to get this win to ensure they have a chance at a 2-out-of-3 come Sunday.

    A guy that I worked with at a summer job way back when I was in college was named Aaron Henry. Yes, we quickly nicknamed him Hank and as far as I know, it still sticks today.
