  1. The Twins have actually been the ones holding Buck back, their doctors are making the decision. Buck is not saying he can't go most times.
  2. Hopefully they also get of the thought that they need a pinch runner and defensive replacement role and utilize every player on the roster.
  3. I want this team to be the best version they can be for the season not just for one series. Also, please don't tell me how to react to a game, you don't know me well enough for that.
  4. I never said it was all on Shelton. Below is my original comment. This comment was more of an indictment on Shelton, you can't play a player every 12 days and then expect them to have a high chance of success when needed. Just keep giving your thumbs down, that works better for you.
  5. Try something new called Google. The television announcers for the Twins vs. Yankees game today on NBCSN and Peacock are Cory Provus on play-by-play, alongside color analysts Adam Ottavino and Anthony Recke
  6. To follow up, Fedko hasn't started a game or a plate appearance in 12 days, how do you expect him to perform. Of course he is going to try and make something happen. This is poor roster management by Zoll and Shelton.
  7. Recker is the second analyst, Ottavino has been the main analyst today. They are offering a perspective from each team.
  8. This is on Peacock today, not TwinsTV. Recker is the second analyst who has been contributing some, but mostly it has been Ottavino.
  9. Part of this is on Shelton for not giving him some more opportunities especially when Buxton was hurt. This is what Kelly did well, he kept the bench guys sharp by getting them in the lineup on a semi regular basis. So they were ready to contribute when needed. Maybe it wouldn't have helped Fedko, but he hasn't been put in a position to succeed.
  10. If they are planning on trading Jeffers, I think he will. He will need to be DFA'd or waived and I think he would be claimed. You can't count on Cardenas as your backup catcher.
  11. If he goes on the IL, you need to send down Fedko down if Shelton isn't going to play him You can't play with a three man bench and either two are catchers or one would be Bell if Jeffers DH's. I believe Jeffers will be up regardless on Tuesday unless he has a setback today.
  12. I am not so sure it is ego as much as it is their competitive nature. I don't like those challenges either but I think they are getting caught up in the moment and don't want to be down in the count. It is the same reason they don't want pitchers challenging, they are not going to be objective.
  13. They will do everything they can to avoid putting him on the IL, they have already shown that.
  14. What is the status of Culpepper, we really need him up here, it has turned midnight for Kreidler.
  15. I am assuming Fedko goes down on Tuesday for Jeffers. If you aren't going to play him against a LH, why was he even added to the 40 man roster. This is just another of many head scratching moves by this team over the past 6 years or more.
  16. But it should be worth it to watch Ryan Kreidler.
  17. And so Martin and Keaschall are no longer in the picture. And is Shelton going to be more flexible with his lineups to get everybody AB's. Also do we continue to keep platooning. And if Jenkins shows he is ready are you really going to hold him back. And no I don't care about 2027 or service time if he is ready he should be up here. And how many AB's do you consider a long enough look. The point is there are a lot of considerations and that is not even considering the RH batters that could be ready by next year.
  18. First you are seriously going to compare someone who has played 20 games at a position to one who has played over 900 games at the same position. The irrational dislike for Lewis on this board is really getting to be something. He was moved to a new position mid-season without complaint which many have said he wouldn't do and has actually looked pretty good over there. The big things he needs is time and reps over there. Right now there is no question who should be there defensively.
  19. Have you seen Bell play in the field. There is a reason they won't let him pick up a glove. He is an absolute butcher there and can't throw.
  20. They cleared 2B when they moved Keaschall. Clemens is a placeholder, he needs to be in a utility role if they hang onto him.
  21. How do you give them all a chance and look at them when they are all basically on the same development timeline. Only a couple will get a real look and we better hope they choose the correct ones to give a look to.
  22. And the same people that helped with the self-scouting are still advising and making the decisions. Nothing will change until Zoll is gone and they bring in new leadership.
