    Bullpen management was interesting, but not “bad.” Duran is the best RP and was treated as such. Smith is this years Duffey where Rocco hands him the ball to get out of a situation and then let’s him have the night off. Nothing wrong with that. He’s been great. Jax over Duffey was surprising but needed. Jax has been good and Duffey has not. Think tomorrows late innings go with Duffey, Thielbar, and Smith if the games close.

    Late, but TWINS WIN! wasnt the most exciting game, nor was it what I expected, but the Twins got it done. Paddack was pretty good, Joe Smith has been fantastic, Jax performed in his first high leverage inning, and the future of the bullpen is now in the present with Duran. Interesting matchup tomorrow with Zimmerman for the Os. He’s been really good, but hasn’t been traditionally. Gotta take 3 outta 4. until tomorrow, ENJOY YOUR CHICKEN!

    Which is why it'll never happen. But if it were, it'd have to be about something oversliding the bag or something of that sort. I agree that if someone overslides the bag they should be out, but that isn't what happened to Gordon. He beat the throw. He kept his hand on the bag as long as humanly possible, and then engaged the bag with his foot. He never overslid the bag. He simply was off the bag for a few frames. That isn't what replay is intended for (in my mind).

    This will never happen, but I've said it for a few years. If a runner beats the ball to the bag, he shouldn't have to stay on for every little frame.

    That Paddack start leaves me saying Meh. The results were good, but the O's lineup is one of the worst in the league, and he only got swings and misses on the changeup (and 1 on a slider which I think was really a curve, it was the only one statcast says he threw). Fastball velo stays solid. However, he gave up a bunch of loud contact that turned into outs and got bailed out by Smith. However, good results are always better than bad results. I still feel pretty good about the trade.

    No. Advanced on the groundout to 1B. Arraez hit a rocket that the 1B had to dive for. No throw at 2nd.

    I did not see this coming. Twins aren't hitting anything hard and Wells isn't a very good pitcher. Still time to turn it on.
