  1. Fantastic outing from Duffey. 4 swings and misses on 7 swings for the fastball. The curveball is still an above average pitch. If the fastball starts to show life again, he can be trusted in late innings. The velo was up a bit, but not a noticeable amount.
  2. Was thinking the same thing, but now Pagan is up. Really weird to me. Threw like 30 pitches yesterday and wasn't exactly crisp. I assumed the 9th would go to Smith
  3. Orioles built the new wall to attract starting pitching (fine, I think showing that you can develop starting pitching and know how to coach them would be a better idea), but what kind of right handed hitter is going to want to sign in Baltimore now?
  4. I'm all for weird dimensions and what not, but I am not a fan of dimensions that are clear injury risks, which this is. Plus it just looks ugly.
  5. I kinda doubt all three things. He's never been good before, and I doubt he's actually good now (doesn't K anyone even in the bullpen). Plus he's only 27 and isn't owed any real $. There is no reason for Baltimore to trade him if he's actually good.
  6. Really good appearance from Thielbar. Admittedly, he faced 4 pretty bad hitters, but he needed a clean appearance like that.
  7. One would assume, but the Twins haven't said anything yet.
  8. I would assume we see some combination of Thielbar (assuming he gets the 6th), Coulombe, Smith, and Duffey. Of course, we could keep adding on and finish this with Stashak and Moran
  9. This O's pitcher has given up a .500 slug on the cutter so far. The number is only rising. Odd that he throws it so much with a really good changeup and a 95 MPH fastball
  10. RYAN ROCKET!!!!!!! He's been impressive.
  11. Gary! He's been better than I expected both offensively and defensively. Also, if we weren't playing in the dumbest LF possible, that's a homer.
  12. Absolutely. More so has to do with how good some of his other starts have been. Some nights you just don't have it. To get out of it with only 2 runs given up is a plus. Plus, if you aren't going to have "it" it's best to be against a team like Baltimore.
  13. Great job by Thielbar. That's what he did so well last year. Death to left handers.
  14. Probably one of Ryan's worst starts. Wasn't really getting swings and misses, and didn't have great command. He kept the Orioles from hitting much hard, but gave up quite a few hits. Just a weird start. The defense didn't do him any favors, but they also made some tough plays as well. Gotta hope the B bullpen can bring this one home, or that the Twins put up 6 or 7 runs.
  15. Orioles are having some of the best BABIP luck I've seen in a while.
  16. What a play by Correa, and a grab by Ryan. Probably not advised to throw it like that, but it worked.
  17. Orioles calling time so often is rather annoying.
  18. And the Twins give the lead right back. Ryan has not been sharp, but he's given up a ton of weak hits.
  19. https://twitter.com/betsyhelfand/status/1521650164754259971?s=20&t=CyZUPjc49CTg404zyA5xHQ
  20. POLO! I was worried about the health after the ankle beating and the tag at second, but swing looked good right there.
  21. Wow. I am not sure how that stands, but I will not complain.
  22. Don't think they got him live. Let us see the replay.
  23. Correa with his first bad play defensively of the year. Was going to try to go home, rushed it, didn't field it. If he has thoughts of going to first I think he makes the play fairly easily.
  24. That has to be the weakest double of all time
