  1. Eduardo Nunez: Destroyer of worlds
  2. Well that's not good. On the bright side, Kepler might get another shot.
  3. I wouldn't mind seeing Hildenberger move up to Roch. He hasn't gotten much time at AA but he is 25 already.
  4. OPS up to 1.019 now. That's pretty darn impressive, but I still wouldn't be in a rush to bring him back up; two or three more weeks at least.
  5. I don't think I've seen AJ Murray mentioned once on this forum this season, which is surprising considering the dire catching situation the Twins are facing right now. He has an .880 OPS with great on-base skills. I'd like to see him get a shot in Fort Myers along with Wade soon.
  6. Even Santana was surprised he took a walk there.
  7. The Rich Hill story has been my favorite of the season so far (only partly because he's on my fantasy team). He's built on his somewhat baffling late-season success from last year and developed into a legit ace at age 36. After last night's eight inning shutout he's now third in the AL in ERA, strikeouts, and WAR. Here's a great Q&A with Baseball Prospectus talking about how he uses data to improve: http://www.baseballprospectus.com/a/29269 A better look at his background story on Player's Tribune: http://www.theplayerstribune.com/rich-hill-red-sox/
  8. What does it matter if he's not? I would totally agree with the points you made if this was a contending team but that couldn't be further from the truth. Most of the Twins bullpen is not "MLB ready" so why not give a guy with some actual upside a shot?
  9. Sounds like a lot of people in here have never been to Indiana.
  10. Bautista has 13 homers in 20 games here.
  11. Buxton is supposed to be back tonight. With an outfield of Rosario-Buxton-Kepler, it's almost embarrassing how much better the Rochester outfield will be defensively than the Twins.
  12. I've always thought of him on the Rosario level where he could play there for a week or two but you probably don't want him there all season.
  13. Another scoreless inning and a third from Chargois. Too bad the Twins' bullpen is too stacked to make room right now.
  14. Max hit a home run, a triple, and a double tonight and his OPS is up to .818 in AAA now. He was the guy I was really hoping would get more of a chance when he was up here. With his contact skills and K/BB ratio I don't think his lows would be nearly as low as Rosario or Buxton. Sending Rosario down presented a perfect opportunity for Kepler to come up and get some ABs but instead we get Robbie Grossman. This leaves me with two questions: How long does the Grossman experiment last and do you think Kepler gets the call before Buxton and Rosario get another shot?
  15. I foresee a time in the near future where you will want to rescind that rescindment.
  16. Just like Kintzler drew it....oh never mind.
  17. Nice play, but I think an actual SS would have made that look much easier.
  18. Kepler is 3-4 and a single away from the cycle for Rochester tonight. OPS now up to .826.......
  19. Even Dick brought it all the way up to an elevated chuckle.
  20. I wish this prediction made me happy.
