Wimmers was the bottom of the barrel. Busenitz, Hildenberger, Curtiss, and Melotakis are the actual prospects who should be getting a chance right now.

Can you imagine the reaction from other teams/fans when the Twins trot out a guy with a ERA above 8 to protect a one-run lead in the 7th or 8th inning? They have to be equal parts baffled and giddy.

Belisle should have been gone a month ago. He's horrible.
  5. John Kelsey
Belisle seems to be working towards other things.

    Buddy "High Leverage" Boshers

No one was hitting his breaking stuff, he just couldn't locate it. That's not exactly a positive though.
  8. John Kelsey
I don't think so. Just a fastball and a few different breaking balls.

Turley's stuff looks pretty good. He just needs to stop working himself into hitter's counts which should happen when he settles down. I hope he gets more starts.
  10. John Kelsey
I'm glad they went with Turley, excited to see him pitch.

He's got a pretty good guy to model himself after in Big Erv. Very similar build and stuff.

    Great recovery by Duffman.

Another strong start from Alex Meyer tonight, sigh....

After watching that video, I wonder if Turley could be a poor man's Rich Hill. Hill eventually realized that no one could hit his curveball and eventually just started throwing it all the time which really turned around his career. Hill still struggles with command sometimes, which I'm sure Turley will too, but that might not be a bad model to follow.

NIk Turley has 13 Ks in 5 IP for Rochester so far tonight....

Curtiss is ridiculous. Gonsalves arguably should have started at AAA this year anyways if he was healthy, so I'd have no problem promoting him now.
  17. John Kelsey
Curtiss has to be yawning through his outings at this point, at least bump him up to AAA.

Another good start from him last night, he's looking like a solid rotation piece.

I've always counted driving through. If you don't leave the airport, it doesn't count.

Joe is about to knock in some runs.

That highlight reminded me how fat Tony Bautista was.
