  1. Strange... I've seen that thread somewhere before... Beats being rickrolled though.
  2. I wasn't paying attention... has someone started a game thread thread thread yet?
  3. I freely admit i've spent too much time with pokemon, although i don't think that says much oher than that is a very easy threshold to attain. No, by and large i've been getting better at noticing my more creative spelling techniques. That one just got through me... Thanks for pointing them out. I kinda like it, as it rhymes with the big cat.
  4. Did i jynx him too? I am terribly sorry. I got a sneaking suspicion Pittsburgh might have something to do with it.
  5. Aw shucks. Someone scored on our starter...
  6. Have we emerged victorious from the field of athletic competition by this point in time, being when you are reading this post, rather than the time i am posting it? If i have a busy evening, Monday might be it these days, so i need to say clever things now. I think it is clear to everyone i intereact with how intellectually challenged i am, and how i do all i can to cover for it by the use of clever words and distracting jokes. And at this stage of my life, i wouldn't want to weigh anyone down with being even remotely responsible for me in any way, so alas, i got no commentary to make on marital bliss, other than perhaps to avoid misspelling it by swapping the i and t. This here post is my round about way of saying thanks for putting up with me! Oh, and go Twins! If i got a second team, it is still the Pirates from Doug's days there. So this is a particularly fun series.
  7. I don't suppose he'd settle for some bubble gum?
  8. Perhaps they moved since the memo was taken?
  9. I could used to these innings. Indeed i like these four run ways.
  10. That's right. You told me that last time i asked...
  11. I forget... Does deja vu go with white or red?
  12. Buxton thrown out at home... Is that a good AF joke?
  13. Thanks for keeping the thread density of groan up. Who knows what it would be like if it were childish.
  14. What was the conversation like? Pardon me, zookeep, are you Lyon? Um... No. How do i know you're not Lyon?
  15. No one ever tells me anything. Does that mean i have to write a whole new thread intro?

Chance Sisco (L) C Today Easter falls on April Fool's day. I wonder how often that happens, and while i am curious, that's not what is important. Rather, how shall i celebrate this? For my sermon today, i shall make stuff up from the book of St. Nick: And Mary hurried back to the disciples to tell them that Jesus had risen. And the disciples were like yeah right, of course. That's the oldest April Fool's joke in the book. This is like the time you served us those "loaves and fishes"? Or what about that wine? Peter almost choked on a Firkin... And while they were heckling Mary, Jesus walked by in his bathrobe, and asked why they were up at 7am? It's the Sabbath, and the game doesn't start until noon. Let others sleep in as you yourself would like to be allowed to sleep in. Then all the disciples were greatly astonished, and quickly dove back under their covers, but not before swiping a bagel or two to nibble on. All rise for hymn 123, "The Pitcher shall cover first" And now we will pass the plate around... Encouraged contributions include: Baseball thoughts (it is round and has stitches) Twins thoughts (i mostly been distracted first two games... what all did i miss?) Favorite celebrations of Easter or Passover. (all about the Peeps) Favorite celebrations of April Fool's day. Songs that get stuck in your head aka. ear worms ( i woke up running over the tail of Pachelbel's canon) with bonus points if you think it would make a good walk up song. And here's to hoping the Twins collect at the plate as well as we do!
  17. That Ogden Nash is a sly one... (almost half way to catching up with the game thread...)
  18. This has been your C&C Remaining Monthly Available Game Thread Intro Update. Rmagtiu... rolls off the tongue, no? Alas, it is hard to roll it back on. I have a feeling this will not catch on... Mmmm... Game Threads!
  19. You mean to say... There's a hole in your bucket list, dear Chief? Oh my.
