I know i am caught in game thread levity mode when i read the title of this article and think "first half awards? We are pretty clever if no one has given out half an award before. Go us!" I am still waiting for Arraez to pass the 100 at bat threshold and for announcers to go on how he has a better carreer average than Ty Cobb. -

Oh... The head line about him being free just meant he is available. Not that he will sign for $0. Carry on. Don't mind me. I am interested to hear what we give up by signing him... Which draft pick was it? Money attached? And who gets designated for assignment? If that is more than we get out of him, i expect i won't find out the answers... -
