FS1 only gets one more game this season on August 15. This past game is a reminder to schedule something else that day and just listen to it on the radio.

Definitely agree with this. The Twins did draft Jeffers, who is actually older than Rortvedt, but I think most would agree it was for his bat. Maybe the Twins know something and Jeffers can stick at catcher, but Rortvedt seems it for now. Articles on trading for Realmuto being written should back this opinion as well.

Jeffers probably just needs another series or so at E-Town. The Kernels actually need some more depth at catcher with Molina banged up, and Jeffers seems ready for the challenge with the bat. I guess he does only have 51 innings behind the plate so far, so it isn't apples-to-apples as far as the 99 PA and done with E-Town like Rooker.

I read it that way too, but Jacksonville are the Jumbo Shrimp.

Pretty disappointing game all around ... Slegers earned another look, IMO, and I've been rooting for him. His stuff has little margin for error, so when a team knows his turn is coming up, this is the result. That relief showing and the Baltimore game kind of gave him a chance to catch teams by surprise. It's too bad, because I was hoping he could figure it out. He's been in the org for a long time and had success all the way up, but I guess that's where the AAAA reference comes into play.

    Really?
  7. slash129
    C'mon Dozier!!!
  8. slash129
I've found the perfect combination of volume and white noise that allows me to only hear the play-by-play and no color ... I call it Verducc-away.
  9. slash129
    There you go Garver!
  10. slash129
Good outing by Rogers, but he's done.
  11. slash129
Way to go, Escobar!! Now Morrison is REQUIRED to homer!
  12. slash129
Followed by brushing Rosario off as an afterthought with a condescending "Good Luck, Eddie" when discussing the final vote. Muted. I'd rather hear Bert talk about his birthday, productive outs and athletic pitchers over and over and over.

Sorry, Twins and Royals fans don't care about the Yankees farm system. Terrible announcers.
  14. slash129
    Great sci-fi flik
  15. slash129
Morrison deflated that whole inning ... Hopefully, the new inspiring Cave can get something started next inning. Kennedy looks ripe for picking, but someone has to reach out and take it.
  16. slash129
See, Morrison, Kennedy want to give back this game. Gawd!!
  17. slash129
That is some dumb running down 5-1, and for Morrison probably every time.
  18. slash129
Slegers probably going down after the game for Duffey. That's my call. Then Duffey will get sent down for whoever lines up for the Sunday start from Littell, Romero or Mejia.
  19. slash129
He had me fooled after being so effective in relief for 5 innings and then that Orioles start. Just batting practice today.
  20. slash129
BTW, these announcer on FS1 are horrible.
  21. slash129
    FS1

I'd rather watch Dozier than read about some long shot org filler. If they deal him, it better be for something that will help the big club within a year.
  23. slash129
And many just want to take whatever offer they can get just to get Gordon reps
  24. slash129
That's certainly the most efficient approach, but I can't ever get on board with it. I'd rather watch two more months of Dozier than two months of Gordon making mistakes in the field and playing 56 wRC+ ball just to get his feet wet. Unless, of course, I'm getting a return with a better than average chance of impacting the big club.
  25. slash129
Unless that best offer is organizational filler that won't even be in the system in a year ... In that case, pass. I'd rather watch him play for two more months.
