  1. I wouldn't be surprised if we didn't see Sano in the major leagues till 2016. He will need time to recover. He still has to improve his fielding to be an adequate at the hot corner. Plus his batting average needs to be at least .250+ to warrant a promotion imo.
  2. I wouldn't say hes out of the clear yet. Lets see how this year goes and if he stays healthy, he should be fine going forward.
  3. I hope they don't play the wait and see game. When was the last time that worked??
  4. Yeah but knowing the Twins they will try to avoid the surgery only to do it 3 months later. Then he has to prove he can hit in the minor leagues before being promoted. So my timeline is probably optimistic.
  5. Might as well mark him down for Tommy John. Expect to see him in June of 2015.
  6. Kind of an odd request but my parents were in Fort Myers this week and got a few autographs on a ball. The problem is my parents are very casual fans and don't really know the players. So I thought, why not ask on here? I can tell the first one is Brian Dozier. Second one looks like either Jason Kubel or Bartlett? And I have no clue about the last one. I was told he was dark skinned though. Thanks, if anyone has an guesses.
  7. No to Turner. Not a fan of players who's best tool is speed. I'm hoping Kolek will be there as he seems like the high upside arm that the Twins could use.
  8. Here's to hoping Pinto will be the starting catcher not Suzuki.
  9. Let's not tag him yet, he's got a long ways to go. Plus there isn't much info to gauge a comparision.
  10. I like the trade for the Twins. Can never have too many power arms. Though I do miss Span, he was a good player.
  11. Well I guess the Twins have to rewrite their plans for next year's free agents now... Maybe they will make a push for Garza.
  12. None, but I came close. The first weekend series of the opening of Target Field I came close to catching a homerun ball. The Twins were playing the Royals and Orlando Hudson hit one out to left field and the ball was coming right at me but it just clanged off the deck above and went back on the field. Everyone was excited but I was disappointed as I was soo close to catching a ball.
  13. I remember this guy making news. And not the good kind either. Pass
  14. Don't forget the pen was overworked because of bad starts by the starters.
  15. While he does still have potential, his inability to hit righties could really put a damper on his stock. I wouldn't be opposed to have him start pitching again
  16. Might be a tad optomistic, but I think the general consensus is that the team is trending upward.
  17. Darvish is for real. Sure his pitch count gets a little high, but all his pitches are strikeout pitches. He's nasty, I would perform back-flips if he was in our rotation.
  18. Pelfrey was added when Doumit was traded so a spot needs to be cleared now.
  19. I don't get the love for Stephen Drew. He's nothing special, he's likely only a tier above Florimon. The money is best spent elsewhere or not at all. Save it for next season offseason. There are a lot of high upside pitchers that could make it to free agency. Some probably will get extensions but I think we should wait it out and see.
  20. Looks like a poor man's version of Scott Diamond. The positive is we got rid of a salary and a freed up a space for someone who might be part of the future.
  21. No, Sano is controlled cheaply for a bunch of years, while Price is comanding a big contract. And anywise its not like we are an ace away from a serious playoff push.
  22. Why did you mention Buxton's BABIP when you fail to mention Sano's? His BABIP of .397 was nearly identical to Buxton's at the same stop (Fort Myers). Buxton's BABIP is more sustainable then Sano's because he's super fast and can beat out infield hits. Both are great prospects though.
  23. Closet Cubs fan? Twins are top 3 at least.
  24. I like this. He hits lefties very well and is a good pinch runner. Perfect 4th outfielder for the right price.
