    I was thinking that Nolasco always underachieved in the National League, why wont the same pattern hold true in the American League? Except that the American League is superior offensively which will further esculate his numbers. High 4's, low 5's is maybe what we should expect going forward.

    Probably because hes a heavy flyball pitcher. We dont know the percentage of ground balls he get so its tough to judge. Though pitchers like Darvish who are fly ball pitchers but he can dominate anyways.

    I havent read this thread so this might have already been touched on but even if he doesnt work out as a starter, why not put him in the bullpen? He knows how to pitch and he can be the long man instead of Deduno. Deduno is okay but he lacks control which usually adds fire to the fuel when the starter has a bad game. Pino should be able to keep the game within reach in most occasions.

    Remember when Pavano said he wanted Butera to be his main catcher because they make such a better battery? When comparing the stats between when Butera and Mauer caught him, the pitching lines were very similiar. So I think its mainly a mental thing.

    According to rotographs hes the 143rd ranked pitcher. Better temper your expectations going forward. Top 20 is pretty close to elite.

    Depending on how Morales does, he would be the smarter option as he will be the younger option at age 32 next year. This thread is a bit premature, lets revisit this in two months.

    Hes a streaky player. He wont hit more then 15 homeruns the rest of the season.

    Cuddyer is in the perfect place to hit. I remember complaining on how he liked to swing and miss at sliders low and away. I liked Gomez but I didnt mind that they traded him for Hardy. I didn't like that trade getting rid of Hardy. I didnt mind Crain leaving. He was good but he wasnt that important. Dickey I was indifferent and still am.
