  1. And then Rob Antony traded for him, Paul Molitor brought him into the game, and they all lived happily ever after.
  2. One more thing to work on in spring training next season!
  3. We may be on different sides of that fence, but I agree completely with you.
  4. Um, what's the infield fly rule again?
  5. We joke about estimates that are off by a decimal point, but rarely do you see an estimate off by two decimal points.
  6. Logan Schafer displaying his "Just-shy-of-the-warning-track" power.
  7. Anyone posting, liking, looking, or lurking on this thread today--or any day of late--can never be called a bandwagon fan, ever.
  8. Do I still have time to drive downtown, park, get into Target Field, and go pick up that Dozier home run ball before anyone else gets to it?
  9. What do you mean Lol - what's so funny about this? Chief do you know why this is funny?
  10. Rest easy. People in the future will know that the 2016 season really did happen. I've been down in the basement saving game threads too. http://www.retrotechnology.com/herbs_stuff/128k2.jpg
  11. uffda. The radar heading into Target Field is telling a bad story, folks. Be careful out there.
  12. It's gotta also have something to do with why Berrios always needs to throw so many pitches to get batters out. Again tonight. 2 innings, 47 pitches.
  13. CBU Update (we still doing those?) Berrios walks two in top of first, escapes via strikeout. Dozier and Polanco walk in the bottom of the first, Mauer and Vargas whiff. The fate of the season now rides on Max Kepler.
  14. looks like nasty weather in the north suburbs. Be safe, people.
  15. Mr. Farmer is now not locating the strike zone, and Mauer gets ahead in the count 0-2
  16. The name of the pitcher for Detroit tonight is Buck Farmer. Careful, everyone.
  17. Silver linings update: Berrios got 7 swinging strikes in the first inning, not counting the foul tip... Which puts him 60% of the way to the total number of swinging strikes accumulated by the rest of the rotation from the start of the season.
  18. MLB Game day is telling me bases loaded, two out, full count
  19. Will the Twins sniff the postseason in 2017? Doubtful, but this is still essentially the same team that sniffed it in 2015, minus Torii Hunter, Mike Pelfrey, and half a season of Glen Perkins. When spring training rolls around I will be drinking the kool aid again anyway, so I figure why not get a head start.
  20. yup. That, and call his own pitches, become a 50/40 fastball/slider guy, or something.
  21. Trading Santana this offseason does make a lot of sense. For me personally it gives the impression of forfeiting 2017, however, and I'd rather go into 2017 trying to win games and see what happens. There's too much raw talent here. You never know.
  22. Ervin, and maybe May. Pink slip Santiago and Milone. Let the others compete for starter jobs in spring training. The top priority the next couple years starting yesterday should be to cleanse the organization of its pitching personnel and philosophy, but yeah, a starting rotation will need to be filled out.
