  1. I wouldn’t say trash, but Levine was singing the same note on CCO this morning (that bullpen reinforcements were in-house).
  2. I don’t know how he hit that with those shadows and wearing those damn sunglasses too.
  3. Here come the shadows!11 Who’s in the mood for 16 innings???
  4. Tie game, late innings, every plate appearance is high leverage at this point. *though strictly speaking I think the pre-9th inning, none on, two outs PAs, were not high LI
  5. Yep bullpen has been good, they need to keep us alive here one more time.
  6. Ok so maybe Buxton ran us out of an inning this time, but this is also the guy who is free to run at any time. let’s call it baseball 300-level, and call it a day?
  7. True, there are pros and cons. Look at it another way. If Buxton doesn’t tag and Gallo’s throw sails in somewhere near the on deck circle, then everyone will rightly claim Buxton should be on third.
  8. I disagree with the folks saying Buxton made a baserunning mistake. He’s the fastest guy in the league and other teams are allowed to make good plays too.
  9. All of that in 2006, and the Twins still made up 10.0 games in the standings after August 1st.
  10. In addition to what ashbury said, in contrast to Duffey, what I like about Harper is it looks like he can throw his curve in any count to any location.
  11. I agree completely. Despite the lack of big names in the bullpen and frankly some insanely good luck at times, I think there’s a method to the madness. I think many times the team really does know what will get the opponent’s batters out, and is able to successfully translate that information back to the pitching staff and catchers, and they have been executing well! We are a long way from “attacking the zone” and getting that “first pitch strike” though that 0-1 count, if you can get to it, is still important too, obviously.
  12. Thanks for the check. I don’t have much experience with it.
  13. He’s been an absolute rock in that rotation. What a loss, for him and the team. The good news is it sounds like he’s in the road to beat this.
