If people think not trading away Jeffers or Ryan and others at the deadline this year was a mistake, then let me tell you about the even worse mistake of not trading them at the deadline last year, when the Twins could have gotten much more for them. "The Pohlads" have earned our opprobrium, but I wonder if anyone singling out Tom Pohlad has ever had a sibling, child, or parent. Tom is not Joe and Joe is not Carl and Carl is not Jim. I did not and would not vote in that poll. However, I liked the way Tom recognized how poorly the team and the brand was being run and what a huge image problem his family had, and then very actively intervened to take control. That buys me some time. I'm all for second chances, (and maybe third and fourth chances, in this case). You are one of my favorite posters but I am going to disagree with you on this one, at least for another season. -

A win would have been fantastic, given where we are in the season, but it also felt a little like snatching defeat from the jaws of defeat. They had no business being in the game and the runs in the 8th seemed a bit unearned. Golden chance in the 10th, missed. -

Awesome. I bet they all loaded up on concessions and merch, too. 🙃 By the way, one of the ‘E’ guys got into a nasty argument with his wife that night, and couldn’t make it. So the other guys just settled for S-E-L-L, T-E-A-M, and the other T and H guys went bare chested for a couple innings.
