  1. Great observations! New initials for JB: GM!
  2. Sounds pretty "Psycho"-esque. Me? Just trolls under bridges. And older guys chasing me after school. They were not telling me what purdy lips I had, either.
  3. Two observations: 1. When I can't follow a game to the end during Western Division swings, I tend to read the TD posts the next morning. For unknown reasons, I read them backwards, last page to first. It all makes sense. Scary. 2. On Tuesday and Wednesday, Sirius cranked up "Rubberband Man" at different times of the day on the 70s on 7 channel, and I saw that as a good sign. And it was. Heard that dang song again today. A Twins victory awaits. Adios for now.
  4. And Cuddy was safe by 3 miles, too.
  5. But are you reading any Henry James?
  6. Reading through last night's game, I was mightily impressed with the polymaths that comprise the TD crew. Curtains, the importance of who's batting third, and terrific jokes by Tibs and RB all returned many times more than the price of admission. And JB and Chitown got to talk about girly things to boot. Speaking of jokes... Two TV antennas got married. The wedding was so-so. But the reception was great. Drive safe going home. Don't forget to tip your servers.
  7. Can't stay up late to watch, either. My sense is a Nunez XB hit for RBI, Dozier and Hammer dingers, 7 innings of solid pitching from Gibby, Burton the hold, Perk the save and Twins romp 3-2.
  8. "Hello. My name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die."
  9. Now you've done it, Mr. Bark. You scared the women and excited the horses.
  10. Even with Arcia looking at strike three, I'm diggin' this shagadelic comeback. Yeah, baby!
  11. A thoughtful, heartfelt analysis. My 2 cents: I know it wasn't the same owner, but I remember Billy Martin getting fired after one season, and won the division. So change came quickly then. Just not now.
  12. Ah, Grasshopper, kung fu this!
  13. Bad day to give up snorting cocaine, too.
  14. ROBIN: Holy Rally Rhino, Batman! I can't believe the Bat Computer was wrong. It's going to take at least seven runs to win this game. BATMAN: Never mind that, Robin. The Riddler wants to know why they build fences around cemeteries. ROBIN: The fiend! Could it be because people are dying to get in? BATMAN: Have I ever told you your shorts are too tight?
  15. No, Senator, I do not recall any of that happening. And on the advice of my legal counsel, I'm not answering any more questions.
  16. Heard he's either been DFA'd or is sidelined with bilateral brain weakness. Just a rumor.
  17. Don't be dissin' our boy Plouffie! He knocked in the walk-off error tonight.
  18. Lineups, batting averages and ERAs have been fed into the Bat Computer, and the card it spit out sez we're gonna need at least five runs -- and an appearance by the Rally Rhino (or is it the Comeback Bunny?) -- to win today.
  19. Maybe we could do it like the Yankees' announcers: "The-uh-uh-uh Twins win!"
  20. In the immortal words of Van Gogh: "That's music to my ear!"
