    My new anti-hex method is working. I root for whatever team the Twins are playing, on the theory that everyone I root for fails. Thus making it possible for the Twins to have a chance to win. Anyone else do this?

    The FO isn't ready to eat the money they agreed to pay Correia and Pelfry -- both good clubhouse guys whose careers have hit the skids. We fans, however, are ready to make the changes now. Easy for us. It's not our money. But what the FO sometimes forgets is, it is our team. Let's hope they gets on the stick sooner than later.

    I'm a worrier. Even up 7, I'm still mindful of the time Morneau hit a slam, and we were up 12-2 on the A's, and they came back to win 13-12. (Guess who was pitching? Blackburn.) And Houston scored 7 in the 9th against Baltimore, I believe, earlier this year and came up a run short. Anything's possible in base-uh-ball.

    Three runs ain't nearly enough. Another four or five, yeah, then Gardy can bring in Burton. If I knew how to do GIFs, if that's the right acronym, I'd do the gladiator guy with Gardy's head photoshopped, captioned, of course, "Are you not entertained?!"
