    I would rather Non-tender Plouffe and keep Dozier. I think you can only do one or the other, not both. If you do both, you no longer have depth. If Plouffe and Dozier are both gone, that leaves Polanco at 2nd, EE at short and Sano at 3rd. And that is fine but who plays when those guys need a day off or there is a long injury? Danny Santana? I also think if Dozier is traded we get back a pitcher who is one or two on the depth chart plus a catcher who is can't miss plus a good prospect in the lower levels, otherwise keep him

    I think Buxton is far from having a guaranteed spot out of spring training. I think Grossman stays until Buxton gets recalled next year whenever the Twins decide he is ready. I think Dsantana sticks one more year until the Buxton/Palka/Walker/Grossman situation has more clarity.

    If I am GM I non-tender Plouffe at the end of the year. There is no market for him and going thru arbitration will give him a raise over the 7.7 mil he is making this year. I dangle Vargas and Park in trades and if neither moves i start with Vargas in bigs and Park in AAA. Also..this is a long shot but i lobby in the new agreement to have rosters expanded to 26..which eases the crunch.

    I would be shocked if they brought him back up this year. I don't see it happening no matter what he does down there. I also would be shocked if they handed him the job in CF out of spring training. I have high hopes for this kid but I don't think anybody wants to see him continue to struggle at the ML

    @ Seth, In the opening paragraph it says Palka has an 877OPS for AAA but in the story it says *only* 828 OPS. Did I miss something? Also, picking nits, everybody know what you meant but it does say the Minor league starting PITCHER of the month. Love your stories and look forward to each new month

    The Twins could still be active b4 the trade deadline. Most of the players the twins may trade are not the best options on the table. Other teams have better options that need to come off the table either by trade or asking price before the Twins pieces become options for teams.

    I do not want to see the Twins tank. I want to see them trade/ release players that would allow Polanco, Shaggy, Melotonkis (sp?) Berries up and playing regularly by August 1. If that means that Dozier gets traded and Nunez stays I am good with that. I am also good if both get traded. When rosters expand I would like to see Wheeler, Murphy, Park and maybe Jake Reed up playing with the club. I really don't want to see them tank. Give the kids a chance and let the chips fall where they may. Some may think I am splitting hairs but I am not. I would rather cheer for the young guys to win then for aging veterens to lose.

    When I saw Graham warming in the bullpen I turned off the game. I knew he was up for Arod and didn't care to watch him go yard. I doubt any body in the park really thought a extremely homer prone pitcherfacing a prolific homer prone hitter with the game on the line was going to end any different then it did

    I am not thrilled with this but it could ...could work out IF Torii teaches Hicks how to hit Torii teaches Arcia how to field Torii fires up the clubhouse without punching anybody out then I like it. Did Schaffer get non tendered?

    I think that our new manager is right to a point. But by the same token if English speaking players went to the leagues in the south I would expect them to be able to speak spanish well enough to get by. It goes both ways....I don't think spanish speakers should come to the major leagues and refuse to learn English nor to I think that coaches and players here should refuse to learn spanish.

    The Twins, if they are going to improve need to do three things. One get a top tier pitcher. I prefer Jon Lester. Two trade for a center fielder. Try Peter B or John Jay. Sign or Trade for a Left fielder. IF they do all three of these things they will be able to contend for a championship next year. If they do two...they might win the central. If they go out and sign a second tier starting pitcher and stick with Schaffer as a full time LF the Twins will once again lose 85 games.
