    I hope Parmelee takes advantage of the opportunity. He's been struggling, and I think he can help his cause with a big game today.

    I'm not ready to give up on Parms or Hicks yet. Santana has looked respectable at lead off, and hasn't looked overmatched in CF. Yeah he's made rookie mistakes, but no more than Hicks, and hits way better. Not as good of an eye at the plate, but man can he hit. i think Kubel gets DFA'd for Morales. When Fuld s ready, Hicks goes to AAA to work on his fundamentals in the OF and batting right handed. If Hicksie crushes triple A and grows a cape in the outfield at all three positions, then DFA Parms or send Santana to triple A if Santana struggles.

    But the line on Santana over Hicks in CF is Santana is a better hitter. My first reaction was "Wait, how is Pinto going to get in the lineup?" Then I remembered that Gardy is the manager so Pinto isn't going to get in the lineup at DH. If there is a silver lining regarding the impact on catcher here, it's officially the death nell of a third catcher. i think this was a great move to solidify the lineup. Now tine to turn attention to pitching.

    Because a it's inter league play, and unfair to keep your CF who hits like a pitcher out of the lineup.

    Yeah, but people such as Tibs who don't see daylight for years at time (I assume) aren't considered weird shut ins in today's culture. They're just people like everyone else.

    TK is as dry as a desert, but but man he knows baseball. He doesn't know fashion, he doesn't know dentistry, he darn sure doesn't know comedy, but he KNOWS baseball from the tip of his toenails to the split ends of his curly grey hair

    Tough to go that blind on a guy who is that old. Typically you go blind on high school players. However, nothing wrong with a flyer on a guy when your ML CF is in shambles.
