    Ok, will show my age as I was at a game where Kaat got hit on his face with a wicked bounce and had to be helped/taken off the field. I remember the stitches (from the ball) were visible on his face, from where I sat with my Dad. Kaat, has always been one of my favs, due to his toughness and fielding. I have been sadden that he is not in the Twins Hall of Fame...but I don't think he earned the MLB Hall of Fame, BUT maybe as a broadcaster, as he was always great with his commentary and insights.

    So many millions/year...amazing and for a unproven-ed MLB or even AAA player....it amazes me I really hope it all pays out......

    I hope the Twins do not overpay for I fear is an overrated/unproven major leaguer. It continues to be a very interesting off season!

    You could have posted that for me, as that is my worry about him. MLB pitchers are not the same "animal". At least this off season is more exciting than the last "too many"

    It is a really good read and will keep me away from the "move Mauer back to catcher type" threads over the off season GREAT job!!!!

    He gave us so many great memories and now another in going out on his terms. I hope he just takes some time to relax with his family. If, he wants to work something later he will be a star at whatever he does!!! Thanks Torii !!!!

    This is the part that concerns me: A mezzanine level will be for season ticket holders, an all-inclusive location with great site lines. The fact that it is open to only those with more to spend. To me that's the "not family friendly" part. And sorry, but I would prefer "open to all", with a limit as to customers in that area. More like a set a limit for the amount of people with an entrance controlling that. To me it's an area that I am "not welcome" in.

    I thought of going to the game today....glad I opted for Vikes on TV...Torii should have got a start and I really like the idea of him starting in center!!! Lineup shows give up and teams that are still in the race have a little reason to be mad, but they did control their own destiny.
