Loved the guy and so glad he has found great things to do after baseball!

I'm old school and something needs to be done re: pace/time of the games. Way tooooo slooow. I lose interest and I understand all the arguments for letting it be as is, but, there is no reason that a batter steps out as much as they do to adjust equipment or the pitchers hem and haw as much as they do. I'd rather see a no step out rule for batters and the pitcher must pitch when umpire is ready. Let the umpire count count "1 Mississippi, 2 Mississippi etc." until he gets to "5 Mississippi" and call a ball. Also stop all the visits to the mounds by limiting them to once per pitcher. They can talk in the dugout between innings

The coming suspense, was killed by this: "Each was capable of doing significant harm to an opposing team, but they were joined by an absolute Killer." Next: Harmon Killebrew Leads A Revival I look forward for the next posting

I remember all of this....so sweet and can't wait to see more.

Thanks, 1500ESPN had it in the morning, but not now. This is soooo much better! Always, this is the best site for Twins baseball news and discussions!!!!!!

Tovar was versatile, but no to Twin's Hall of Fame, for my vote.

I have not been to it at Target Field but, I enjoyed watching the live radio broadcasts interviewing the Twins. Anyone know if, they still do the live radio???

Hughes, as he is happy with his contract and will show it

Always an informative and civil site to enjoy baseball chat! Thanks and keep up the great work!!!

SPRING TRAINING...that just sounds soooo good!!!

I like it, but dang the money these guys get is beyond my imagination! Hughes is a class guy and a real plus for the Twins to lock him up, for a long time. Been a good off season, for this since they came here, Twins fan

Hard to catch up to all the posts, but I have to say it is refreshing to see a Twin show some spunk! And not proper, but "prick" is far from the worse I have heard. It was the wrong time to ask the question, but dang, I like the fact that Hunter spoke his mind and showed some "humanity". 10.5 million/year should not turn you into some kind of zombie

And I can think of three more: NO! NO!! NO!!!

I knew I could come here and find a discussion on the new uniforms I like the gold, but would have left the stripes (as it IS, classic Twins) but, no numbers on the front??? Boo to that, especially on the players closeups. How we gonna learn to know these guys without a number to guide us?? ??

Not my pick for manager, but all the best to him! Does not increase my Twins fever, if I even have one after the last few years Looking for some excitement on the coaching staff.

Maybe that was when they actually signed the deal. could have been a verbal and a handshake to that point. Madden came in late and unexpected. I can't fault the Twins, if that is the case. I need to wait and hear all the facts.

Finally, someone brings up the question that first came to my mind. What if, the Twins already inked a deal with someone else and were simply waiting for the World Series to end???? Twins being respectful as they tend to be And Madden ain't nearly worth all the concern I have seen on here Let the facts come out and then we can react.

I liked the rant, but spelling mistakes??? I'm more peeved that some go into work "early" and I assume start threads on TD I go to work, to work
  20. Jerr
I agree with the above and am tired of the losing, coddling attitude of the Twins!!! If, healthy get them up here and challenge them to be MLB ballers!!!! No more let them develop or time in majors clock time excuses.....this loooong time fan is sick and tired of it!!!

Been a lot of complaining about "doing it the Twins way" and it has been deserved. BUT, the press conference with Gardy there, that's the way it should be done! Thanks Gardy for all you have done and nothing, but the best for your future! And thanks Twins for being classy and bringing tears to this long time fan's eyes, today. It needed to be done and you did it well!!!! Very well!!!!
  22. Jerr
It had to be done and hope it is someone from outside that replaces him.

Hughes is happy with how it ended, so let it lay. He is not a relief pitcher and what if he came in and sucked or hurt himself? A contract is a contract, Hughes response only grows my admiration towards him! I am a little sad that this issue has taken the talk away from his incredible performance on a losing ball club. He is a total class act!!!! Congrats Mr. Hughes to a fine season!!! And hopefully many more like it!!!

Helps to explain my lack of excitement for this years team. I mean the Royals are here and I was down watching the wake surfing on the Mississippi River, not even thinking about attending a Twins game

Twins Daily is sooooooo good, I expect the same from Vikings Journal (I would have named it Vikings Daily). Be checking it out and all the best to it's future!!!
