Okay what is this middle of the game scoring stuff by the Twins? Good job Mr. Plouffe. I wonder who will get the callup when Plouffe goes on leave the end of this month? Also, will Sano play third? Or will Molitor play it safe and use Nunez or Escobar?
I'm against signing discards to replace our discards. The Twins need to look within at this point or trade for quality. The old saw "the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results" comes to mind.
Close, so close. Exciting games, I must admit. My wife is figuring out baseball and she asked if this kind of thing was normal and wonders how I'm able to deal with it. I think my wife is getting the beauty of baseball and how the home team can win like KC did tonight.
You're a Twins fan. Not quite as manic as a Cubs fan, but close. Fortunately, there is no cure, because it is the Twins and therefore completely acceptable.
In looking at the replay, I'm not sure the rookie would have made it even if he'd have gone. Once in a while you get caught and there's no good decision.
Dick n Bert were rattling on about Gibson and the confidence shown to Gibson last night, blah blah blah. Dick n Bert were being kind. It wasn't confidence in Gibson so much as it was lack of confidence in the bullpen.
So, I leave for 45 minutes to have dinner with my lovely spouse, come back and it's in the 6th inning already. Told my wife it must be a low scoring game..did not expect the Twins to be up 1-0. I sort of expect that Gibson will scream bloody murder if he is pulled before the 9th inning.
May battled his tail off. Wriggling out of jams is part of the maturing process for a pitcher. (There has to be one more cliche I missed) Good job, Mr. May.
If it is the odd man out, I'm not sure who the odd pitcher is. Perhaps Pelfrey is the odd pitcher, what with his beekeeper hat during the interview. Since my prognosticatory abilities are nill, I thought I'd go with weird.
