  1. Because "Idiocracy" is actually a documentary?
  2. You're too hard on yourself. Plus, too much detail might get a raised eyebrow at home.
  3. From Beethoven to rap...Brahms is spinning in his grave.
  4. To which she replied, "That's extra, because it requires a moose and a platypus."
  5. The Twins got a cheap hit and a fielding assist. About time someone returned the favor, considering how generous the Twins have been this year. By the way, that error should be on Ramirez. The ball was in the glove and it looked like Ramirez flipped it out as he followed through on the scoop.
  6. Better than thinking about the Twins and their atrocious record.
  7. Let me see, two on, no outs...time to pop up a bunt and double off Mauer at First.
  8. I gave up booze for ammunition. Amazingly, I get more bang for the buck.
  9. Okay, where has that Dozier been? Great DP turn and great scoop by Mauer.
  10. I drink approximately 4 beers a year. It's how I afford the good stuff.
  11. Today's beer: Elysian Dragonstooth Snout, I mean, Stout. The label on the bottle resembles something drawn by an insane D&D player. As for the contents, well, it's beer. Whether or not it is any good will be shortly determined. First sip, eyerollingly good. I'll be back..maybe.
  12. Yes, but did you know I debated between appending ic or o?
  13. I hope it's a virus that's catching.
  14. What just happened there? A Twins pitcher allowed a double, yet the runner didn't score? What madness is this?
  15. Note: There will be a beer review in this thread a little later on. (It's isn't after noon here yet) On another note, great thread start, AM! Today's beer: Elysian Dragonstooth Snout, I mean, Stout. The label on the bottle resembles something drawn by an insane D&D player. As for the contents, well, it's beer. Whether or not it is any good will be shortly determined.
  16. There are organized competitions available in MN. Bills does a couple of things. Unfortunately, with the weather in MN, hard to run outdoor gun competitions year round. I found this link and it looks like this is the range and club when it comes to shooting: http://www.grrc.org/about-2/range-information/ I've shot high power, Steel Challenge, IDPA and a couple of rifle/pistol matches. These clubs tend to be very welcoming of newcomers and are usually very good about encouraging people to continue. Don't worry about winning, just have fun! For instance, in rifle matches I shoot an M1 Garand. It's a hoot. I'm slow, but everyone wants to to see the Garand.
  17. Trying to send a message. We'll find out tomorrow if the message was received.
  18. Badly. I had a couple of stages where I did okay but the rust of not shooting for a couple of months showed. Yep, I had a lot of fun. And what's really cool is we're getting a lot of female shooters too. We've grown from a good turnout is 30 people to 50 or more showing up, even in the heat of the summer.
  19. So, I get home from shooting IDPA, and check in, yep, the Twins are losing, yep, Boston is pounding the Twins and yep, the game thread is a barrel of laughs. I just don't have enough morbid interest to see what Dick and Bert have to say about the game. Hopefully, next Saturday's Steel Challenge overlap the game. Although, I believe I'm responsible for the game threads next weekend so they'll have to go up early.
  20. Bases loaded, Mauer at the plate. But was I was worried the Twins bases-loaded run of futility was in jeopardy? Nope.
  21. Duffey survived the first couple of extra outs, but couldn't make it through the third.
  22. Yeah, I was just thinking the same thing.
  23. Btw, I like the makeup of Tyler Duffey. The kid just seem to have that something that makes for a great competitor.
