    I believed every word of the story, up until the "friend" part. Then I knew you were just making things up.

    Is it really a good idea to walk a player that is the base stealing threat Buxton is? Serious question. From what I've seen, putting someone with Buxton's speed on the basepaths isn't necessarily a good strategy.

    Why settle for middle ground? Why not a batting title to go with his elite speed and gold glove? Seriously, though, I think we're only seeing flashes of the player Buxton is going to become.

    Meeting the parents, for me, wasn't a big deal. However, I cannot say the same when it came to meeting the sisters, nieces and nephews. Something about favorite aunt might have had a little to do with my trepidation. (I was actually asked that question by one of the sisters and the above was pretty much my answer. Yes, everyone laughed, though I'm sure they all knew I wasn't completely joking)

    As a parent, I require only two things for those who wish to marry my daughters: The ability to stay out of jail and the ability to hold down a steady job. I tend to think if one is flaky when it comes to work, one is going to be flaky when it comes to a relationship. Not that I have any personal knowledge of that or anything.

    Shouldn't Glynn have seen Sano wasn't pushing from First to Third?

    I can forgive a young player like Sano making a mental blunder. It's going to happen. Glynn knows better.

    Yeah, looked to me like Sano slowed because he expected he was going to be stopped. Even if Sano is going full speed, there's no way he makes it home. Definitely on Glynn.
