  1. I simply do not agree with the use of the word 'beside,' which connotes addition, (e.g. "There were 3 girls besides my cousin" means 4 girls.) as opposed to 'except,' which means subtraction, (e.g. "I like all citrus fruit except lemons" means I don't like lemons.) So, if these guys play all infield positions PLUS catcher, use 'besides;' if they don't play catcher, use 'except.'
  2. I knew none of this. Fascinating story, and given the relatively short time he's been pitching, his struggles are more understandable, yet his success is even more exciting. Thank you!
  3. I'd LOVE to add Wynn, and if we could do so by moving an OF that'd be best. Second would be an SP, but a Festa/SWR/Zebby for a stud SS is still something to be excited about it.
  4. Tippin' my age here, but can we call it "Roden & Martin's Left-In," or "Roden & Martin's Left-Field?"
  5. I found this piece to be very encouraging! We all know/love/respect Latroy, and as the Twins will be converting starters into relievers, there's no better man available. I was always a huge Sizemore fan, and adding him seems to promise the Twins will continue to develop/improve/utilize the more aggressive base-running we saw after the purge. I did not know Toby had been promoted, but I'm excited, as he's known & respected by their many youngsters. A hitting coach, Beauregard, from the Dodgers and recent Tiger orgs sounds promising, but also, I noticed both new bench coaches, Hallberg & Rabelo, HAVE BEEN hitting coaches, (in addition to Beauregard), in other organizations. Not to mention, having the ear of SFG leader Posey can only help. Now's the time for a free agent addition to further excite the base.
  6. Hear me out: With all the savings from the deadline purge, (plus the mysterious 2 new investors), the Twins could seriously improve their roster with 3 free agents who shouldn't be prohibitively expensive. Our 3 huge needs are 1B/C/RP. How about 1-2 year offers for Josh Naylor, JT Realmuto, and Tyler Rogers? They shouldn't cost too much, but to add these 3 in one week would truly enthuse the fan base! At a time in history when millionaires are loathed by the hoi polloi, there could be no more cost-effective way to regain the trust of the fans. Your thoughts on how much these 3 will need to sign & the odds of the team adding even 1 interesting free agent.
  7. Undoubtedly my favorite article I've read on this site. Thank you, Seth!
  8. Walker Jenkins I believe he's locked into this spot until he graduates.Luke Keaschall He is already performing in the bigs, so, number 2 for sure.Kaelen Culpepper I love it when a Twins' prospect 'answers the questions' so definitively! Emmanuel Rodriguez Despite EROD's injury problems, Tait is just too young to be above him in the rankings. TBH, I would not be averse to including EROD in a package for a BIG return, due to exhaustion with said injuries.Eduardo Tait Welcome to Minnesota, Young Man!Mick Abel If, (a big 'if,' to be sure), the Twins can work their magic, this may be comically low by next year's All Star break.Connor Prielipp I'm all for transitioning this man to be our next bullpen anchor, now that he's stayed healthy for a year.Kendry Rojas He may turn out to be better than either Abel OR Taj!Dasan Hill Looking forward to seeing him in Wichita.Charlee Soto A young high-school pick that's looking quite interesting.Gabriel Gonzalez Very strong, exciting season this year!Brandon Winokur Time for this guy to try some AA ball for the Wind Surge.Marek Houston When I hear 'glove-first,' my fantasy baseball personality kicks in and drops him down a peg or two, (though I'm still excited about the Twins snagging Houston.)Marco Raya Like Prielipp, let's put Marco on the bullpen path. They could be our next Jax/Duran combo.Quentin Young Just out of high school, so, no, he doesn't 'belong' this high, but, oh, Dmitri's nephew is "such stuff as dreams are made on."Kyle DeBarge It's way past time for the Twins to have a base-stealing threat.Riley Quick A sneaky-good pickup by the Twins, and for your next-year's FYPD in your dynasty league.Kyler Fedko Should be up for all of September so we can see what we've got here.Aaron Sabato Despite slipping a bit in St. Paul, our former 1st-round pick has earned a one-month tryout in September to see if he can be even a platoon first-baseman moving forward. The Julien/Clemens duo ain't enough to keep Sabato from finally getting his chance! Andrew Morris A surfeit of starting pitchers acquired in the fire sale means Morris must fall, but for me he's #21, behind the missing Teilon Serrano. I became a member just so I could vote here. My ratings reflect my fantasy baseball roots. I had a blast writing these blurbs, and would welcome any feedback on my words and rankings.
  9. @Brock Beauchamp You left out my #20, Teilon Serrano. Thanks for doing this project, and Twins Daily in general!
