  1. Why waste precious time? Extend him now. Do you think he would accept Joe's contract...8 years for $184,000,000. Deal.
  2. No need to offer him a long term deal today....but, I would not wait too long. See how the off season plays out. If you can't lock him up by spring training, then wait until after 2026 season. I certainly would not mess with his head mid season 2026. Who is his agent? Who is the owner? Who is the manager? Pretty sure the longer you wait the higher the price.
  3. Very reckless. Trading Varland makes no sense. At least they got Roden in the deal. He must be a smart kid. Perhaps he can help Rocco better understand the lap top metrics he so loves.....for the few days he has remaining.
  4. Agree. Quickest way to cool off timing and stroke is sitting on the bench. Do not bring him up if you do not intend to put him in the line up. No...to pinch hitting. That just adds pressure. He needs ML at bats... a bunch of them asap.
  5. I too have not spent the $100 for Twins.tv. Chose to wait and see if they were worth watching. Still waiting. I knew they were bad...but, not this bad. I can not stand watching 3 hours of bad baseball. There are lots more ways to spend this new found time. Have you checked out HG TV?
  6. I can not think of a single reason why Gasper should be the starting DH. When I saw the starting line up I had to scratch my head. You just knew there would be a moment in the game when the DH posidtion would let us down. He is just not very good. ........
  7. The Twins dull off season gave me no reason for optimism. I have been a twins fan since their move from DC. This is one of the most boring and lifeless teams they have ever put on the field. Too many players on the active roster that are not ready for prime time. I have always been a spring training optimist, believing that the vets would be healthy and perform up to their potential and the youth would break out. I chose not to invest $100 in Twins.tv. I chose instead to wait for them to prove they were worth watching. Still waiting. I agree with much that has been said in recent days. Knock knock, where is the leadership? On the field and in the office? Rocco is boring and predictable. If ownership and management were stable and competent he would be gone last November. Will they have the courage to make changes? They look like July sellers to me. Hope I am wrong...but, I don't think so.
