  1. Another depressing performance. Is there any reason to be optimistic about the lineup heading into the future? This is practically full strength.
  2. Unlucky + bad is not a good combo. Should have a few more hits
  3. That report from Audra made me want Baldelli gone even more. 2nd monumental collapse in 3 years and all you can do is joke with your players about how the Tigers caught you?
  4. So Cleveland wins the division with 75% of the Twins payroll and people think every problem would go away if the Pohlads spend more money? I'm not disagreeing they aren't part of the problem, because they are. But if your direct competitor does more with less then it's clearly more of a front office, player, and manager issue.
  5. If ownership is the root of all problems then why is Cleveland in the position they're in with ~75% of the Twins payroll? The players and the manager suck, that's the answer.
  6. Would love to be a fly on the wall in these locker rooms postgame. What does Rocco actually do? Any good manager worth their salt would be ripping into them before they even got back into the clubhouse.
  7. Look at the bums in that dugout. Just walking back to the clubhouse not saying anything, no show of emotion, nothing. I hate this team, it's management, and it's ownership so much.
  8. Thielbar. Game over. This is my least favorite Twins team in a long long time.
  9. Props to Cleveland for flat out embarassing the Twins in the clutch, but it does not reflect well for them to be down in all 4 games and be playing such tight games with this awful Twins team.
  10. Well in this game you have the 2 opposite ends of the spectrum for those approaches. And there's a reason one side is going to win the season series 10-3.
  11. Irvin did his job that inning, Rocco should be charged that earned run. 2 routine grounders if not for the shifts.
  12. Actually unbelievable, blow an easy double play with a ridiculous shift. Fire Rocco now.
  13. 2 runs wasn't enough. Embarassing last couple days from your "veteran leader" 12 LOB in 14 innings. Career .205 BA/.685 OPS in the playoffs. Can't get it done in crunchtime.
  14. If there was any doubt they've given up, Buxton removed it.
  15. Absolute meatball that Jeffers lazily pops up. That ball is in the outfield seats on 29 other teams.
  16. Yeah, that's one of the main reasons why the Twins can't beat Cleveland. They completely ignore lefty starters, rarely have a good lefty pen arm, and most of Cleveland's hitters are lefty.
  17. Completely overmatched by a minor league callup. Funny how Festa and Matthews are supposedly top 100 prospects yet whatever John Doe that Cleveland calls up is immediately better than them.
  18. Guardians are just full of a bunch of Twins killers, no way around it. Brennan .250 hitter hitting .350 against the Twins this season, Manzardo struggling prospect suddenly turns it on for this series specifically? And nobody on the Twins cares to step up.
  19. Santana playing like he's ready to retire.
  20. Not harsh when you look at the other guys the front office has identified for the bullpen. Twins have 3 good arms out of how many (8? 9?), it is more likely than not the next person the same talent evaluators chose will be a dud as well.
  21. Time to give it up. It's more likely at this point he's a one year wonder like Brock Stewart that the Twins bought high on. Mariners may suck offensively, but they know pitching. Twins will herald him as the savior of the bullpen, do nothing to reinforce it, and we'll be back to the same situation as right now.
  22. Would have said yes before tonight, now I'm fully out. 1 game sample size, bla bla, 9 LOB in a game is unacceptable, especially for a veteran of his tenure. Career .205 BA/.685 OPS in the postseason. Get me guys that can perform in crunchtime.
  23. Embarassing, legacy defining game from a veteran of his tenure. I can see why he's never gotten a ring and a career .205 BA/.685 OPS in the playoffs.
  24. Carlos Santana, way to throw away a shot at the postseason in the twilight of your career with 9 LOB in a single game. Rocco, way to 1 up yourself again.
